Blue dogs ???

I'd rather a proper honest dog from working stock over a pretty boy thats for sure. Just saying not all blues are deformed looking mutts like the ones here

now im not into the blue dogs at all but my gf just had to have one and a year ago got one from a kennel but i have to say it is nothing like the ones posted above. yes he is hard to work and can be lazy. but he is walked daily and we watch his feed. he is a lil big at 50 lbs but thats nothing close to the hippos i have seen. plus he does come from kennels that actually work their dogs in wp and has a few ch. wp in his ped. even with all this said i would still take a game dog over a bully

So stop hating on these breeds. Even an American Pit Bull Terrier is'nt a PURE breed dog! Look at reconized bog breeds! I found and researched about what a galaxy bloodline is. It is a rare bloodline, that is why you airs head did'nt know what I was talking about! My pup is a real hitter. Blue- Any shade of blue gray to gray blue from deep slate ot light blue gray, usually with a gray nose.


Seal - Appears Black except has red or brown cast when viewed in sun or bright light. <----ADBA web page color chart.

I read on another forum that heavy bred skull dogs tended to throw a few blue/gray looking pups in their litters. I dunno if it's just tight bred skull dogs, which I wouldn't think it would be. I would think that any tightly bred bloodline thats predominately black could throw "blue" pups. Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

i think blue is due to a recessive gene. if it is, not any line, nor any black dog can throw a blue pup.

 

blue is a dilute of black there have been some black dogs birthing blue pups least thats what i heard

Well because that line tends to throw Black dogs the chances of a blue dog popping up in a litter becomes greater because blue is a dilute of black. Anytime you breed black on black you have a chance of a blue dog showing up. I wouldn't say it's very common but it can and does happen. Here is a dog who is supposed to be blue off TITANKENNELS FRISKULL x BOUDREAUX' SKULL ROM (NOTE) Both dog's bred were black.
