I have seen some kennels using insecticide ear tags for cattle. they take the tag and attatch it to the inside of the collar to make constant contact with the dog. they say it works for all insects including mosquitos.

Any of You doggers ever hear of doing so and with what results?

Interesting.. Really concerned about the skeeters though those look like they would work pretty good for the flies.:)

I'd like to know more about this applicator license and what you have to do to get one.

use the tags quite a bit....i do not attach them directly to the collar/skin. i cut them in half and hang them from the collar ring with a cable tie....they work fairly well...keeping the area free of the insects/fleas/ticks/flies should be the main concern...i spray the area with permethian (?spelling)...i also use bayer tree and shrub...i know guys who use tree and shrub just like frontline/advantix....a couple cc's down the middle of the back...never used it but have read it works and have friends that swear by it....US1
