I am not sure if this story refers to these 3 dogs
But there was a picture of a brindle bitch used by Joe Mallen .
I am not sure if this was seen in those days as two different breeds

i have great dogs that are very loving. i raise all my dogs well and their attitudes are perfect. of cause if another same sex dog tried 2 dominate them they will allways become aggresive i dont really care about that. all my dogs come from fast lane lines. as 4 stafs initially i only touched lightly on this subject but i admit i have been caught up in a tit 4 tat online verbal. i dont enjoy it...i come fropm a violent background therefore i really hate dealing with keyboard soldiers. i prefer 2 be up close and personal. i am no clown KBK, i am from the oldschool. how is it that im a clown 4 repeating and feeling the same way about a breed that vets and behavioural trainers do? dont get me mixed up, i really dont care much 4 stafs they could do minimal damage 2 me opr any of my brothers. if i offended u or any other fans, im sorry ok what i meant by a hassle or fkwtts is the same way i would refer 2 a chiuahua! they are an annoyance and i will own that 100%. they are scrappy and constantly making trouble with any dog they get around. the stafs i owened came from respectful breeders and i loved them i was a kid. australia is packed with them and u cant go 2 any dog place without running into a few. moostly very old couples own them they are a fashion statement amongst the wealthy pensioners and the sin of straight couples if u understand. every single 1 of them within a few moments of meeting my apbts try 2 attack them. this is what they are!! im not saying they are dangerous...perish the thought! i just originally said yes i dont like them and yes they are scrappy yes i feel they are an annoyance what would u call a breed of dog that just has to make trouble? their idiots and i reckon u should be less of a hero and admit this son.

 

The reason I said you are a clown is because your making major generalizations about a whole breed, and who cares what vets and trainers say? I wouldnt put any stock in what they say as most of them dont have a clue about what a Staff/Pit is supposed to be. And so what if Staffs try attack your dogs? They are supposed to have a bit of drive, I would be more concerned if they didnt try attack. And lets get it straight, I am no keyboard warrior, look at any of my posts, it aint my style, I just dont like people talking crap or making big generalizations .

Phelan, i dont think we have any staffs here in aus that would be worth pissing on , we have shortened and fattened the staffs we have here, and they are very very different to any staffs anywhere else.

There are a couple of Aussie members here with some very nice big staffs that are used as pigdogs and id have one of them anyday of the week.
But our staffs i would say in general are not even really a shell of what we probly wouldve had way back when.

I would assume they would be better everywhere else, besides a small group of fellas here that hunt with them well, but surely mother England would have to have some good working stock around that hasnt been crossed out.

 

Iv got a beauty of a staff (pics attached) he's a top dog,but if I had the op to bread him with a pit I would dive at it .reason as much as we love our staffords which I believe your pit came from,we would all if we admit to our self love to have anything near a pit. But here in england were not aloud. What a shame gutted

alls breed guidelines are for is show ponys, you breed and feed what you want and what you like so long as you wanna improve the dogs your inviolved with i dont see the problem. Did the dogmen from byegone eras breed a dog so that it stayed within certain limits or because it was worthy?
