Seems you guys didn´t get what is meant with hog hunting!

Ususllay from HSUS point of view you should encourage your dog to run after the pig and inviting him to your home for a cup of tea, if this works out you inhumane bastards will have the opportunity to feed them to death with your fucking TOFU - Sausages and then humanily eat that poor pig!

So now seriously spoken:

Is it far more human to let a totally uneducated dog run into a wild boar??????
No it´s not, he has to know what he´s doing! It´s gonna safe its life!
There´s a good reason to keep catch dogs!
Where I come from there are huge wild boars even running arround in areas where you sure as hell can´t use a firearm because of there are too many people arround!
So just look at google for Wildschwein and see what kind of big and sometimes pretty harmfull animals they can be, there would be no way I would turn a unexperienced not schooled dog on them!
People like HSUS reminding me on the same kind of assholes as these treehuggingPETA - Nazis are!

I think the problem they had was the way the women were going about it... From what I know about trainin the dog and huntin with them the dog don't exactly mutilate the hog's face OR break their legs... I thought they were supposed to go for an ear hold.

 

thats a preferred hold ... one that is most times learned/thought thru practice

Florida is big on hog hunting, and using dogs to do it, so there has to be something more to this story than meets the eye.

 

I agree here...there must be something more. Hogs can be a big problem in Florida so there is a need for this type of hunting to keep things under control and they can be nasty little devils from what I hear so proper training would be important.

 

Hey i live in orlando and i saw the video, apart from breaking legs and face the hogs mouth was taped shut so the squeal would not attract attention. pretty sure that was like the icing to the cake

You really need to be able to train these dogs before turning them loose on a hog. My brother hunts hogs in south and central flroida and there are some nasty hogs down there. You do not want to send your dogs out there with no experience.
Feral hogs are becoming a huge problem. They are running out in the roads like deer, tearing up peoples land. I moved from south Florida to Indiana about 4 years ago, and it was not that bad when I left.
If those dogs in the video were in the woods hunting a feral hog, they may have got real hurt before they even gotten up the courage.

 

you can't pin a hog or put it in a fenced area to catch it . it's silly but they want let you do it . or you will go to jail for a pig that you would kill and eat .

If you don't like laws like this work to repeal them. If they try and pass them in your state oppose them. They have passed the same laws in other states. Some of these laws allow you to catch a hog with a dog as long as the hog is not caged, or penned in an arena. It sux but you have to go to the woods with your prospect and hope for the best otherwise you could face criminal charges. This is what happens when people are not involved with the legislation process in their state. The HSUS has a field day.....

 

without being able to see the whole vid and going off the story ill say it does sound cruel to me.why let them break its legs when they damn sure aint gon do that shit to no wild hog.and if u tape the pigs mouth how will the dog learn to stay away from that area.I aint got nothing against hog hunting but them dogs wasnt learning shit the owners was just gettin a kick outta seein em torture an animal that was damn near smaller than the bigger dog.All animals deserve respect. and id be interested to know how a real hogman would train a young dog for hunting cause maybe i dont no shit but that dont seem right to me

 

I don't care what people do in the privacy of there own homes. If you wan't to do this with a hog fine. But, why post it on Facebook? I think sometimes that you just have to chalk this and other things to lack of intelligence. Simply put, there are some dumb MFERS in this world. End of story.
