I take it they may not like it, but they know the only colour that matters is WINNING...

Here is my 2 cents. I have access to honest gamebred Staff blood, and I also have access to wellbred APBT´s. I have never seen it as a good idea to cross breed them.

Tough, the practical experience from Ireland and Uk shows that you will get a heterozygous effect, that makes a high percentage of good offsprings in the first generation. But where will you go next? One tought that I played with for a while was to import some real old school US blood and cross with the Staffs, but I kind of discarded it for various reassons.

thats whats its all about, ...., I don't keep any with staff blood, its hard enough getting good ones that are from a pure bloodline, but I just showed some that made the grade ,made their owners some money, and if it ware back in the 1950s USA or earlier, any of the dog men back then would have bred from the likes of (XGR) CH. "Ned"........his ped is posted a little bit back if you want to check it out....R

yup. the dogs that Colby's line developed from were the same dogs that the English developed theirs from. according to Louis, it is the 'principals of genetics' not the addition of other blood that created the differences in size and appearance.

not sure if it's true , but I've heard or read that Fox's Alvin had a little staff in his blood .... and that Tudor was looking for Alvin dogs when people where looking for dogs off his yard. But then again I'm not old enough to know either way

there has been some great pitxstaffs over the years, which have proven themselves in the box. in my eyes they were just as much a pitdog as a full blooded pit. i see ex grch ned has already been mentioned who lost to ch yogi, yogi's litter brother ch hagar also beat a good staffxpit ex grch bruno.

also heard ch sunny was a decent one.

think id rather have a decent staffxpit that proves its self in the box, than alot of the useless yankee's that are kicking about.

I'm sure in one of Limey's posts he talks about Scotty Nelson telling Limey.s partner that Earl Tudor was still trying to get dogs from England in the 50s!
