Ozzie Stevens on Sportmanship/Dogmen

This shit is funny.First I'm accused of disrespecting Ozzie for telling the truth.Then a few posts later I'm accused of being an Ozzie lover.Look so what Ozzie matched dogs for $3oo. .That was a fair bet back in the late 70's and early 80's.We all know that that is what two sides agreed upon but there is more that is wagered by friends when the time comes.The amount of money does not reflect on the dog or quality of the match.Dogs don't know what is being bet.Some rolls for nothing between friends was better then a lot of matches. NOTE: Ken of A-Team would match anywhere from $500.00 to $50,000.00. I know dogmen would call Ozzie up for advice in a keep.Yankee Boys T,Ken -ATeam,and I would call him for advice. The man knew his shit.Ozzie could walk you through a keep on the phone.For the record Ozzie beat STP with Cholly,STP used Revenge(2xwinner),Ozzie also beat Capt.America,and the Rebel.That is pretty high company there.

 

So right RED they dont come tuffer to beat than thoes three . And I am not fond of ozzie at all but respect him tons no one was more feared to go into than ozzie If you were hooked into him you better dam well have your dogs in top shape or bring yourself a trash bag I know that one first hand LMAO !!!!!! OTD

 

homer woulda tore jeeps head off if was not fucked up. he wasnot a few lbs light if they pulled him to the corect match weight he woulda been fine he was pulled down even finer than the match weight and he was extremely dehydrated but if the jeep fans wana sayt the beast the real homer that night than thats fine but the dog was a mere shell and still made jeep go near three hours

 

Jeep won and should be given the credit for that,and Jeep beat some good dogs too.Homer beat some very good dogs and just killed them.Homer went 3 hours and 43 minutes and was behind from the beginning.Hell Homer was behind 3 weeks before the match.No dog has ever showed more heart .Homer represented what breeders spend a life time to obtain.Ozzie obtain very good dogs to start with.Then Ozzie did what separates the good dogmen from the best ,or great.He bred his own,condition,and handled his own.For the record anybody that states Ozzie was underrated is sadly mistaken.Nobody in the dogs from the 70's to the 90's would underestimate Ozzie.If u did you would be out a dog and some cash.

 

I have said it once and I will say it again. Take anything from one you degrade what the other did. Almost four hours makes them both my kind of dog. How many of you jackwagons have had one do this type of time with a champ let alone with a fair dog. If not shut the hell up. Jeep v Homer is what bulldogs are about. One lived to pass on his legacy and the other is what legends are made of. It is real freaking simple. I would be proud to feed either one. I love it when the keyboard hounds get to pecking. Shut off your pc and do something besides make my head hurt or stfu. Please save all the pecking for the birds.

 

jeep definitely gets credit but i do not think he was the dog homer was.

 

Ch.Jeep beat Plyants 4x winner Ch.Kato in .28 minutes,Coopers Weenie(2x) .58 minutes,Stepps Ch. Black Glover (3x) 2:05 minutes then Homer(4x) in 3:43 minutes.Now thats pretty dam good. Now everyone knows how Jeep has produced. Ch.Homer won 4x and beat some very good dogs with none staying an hour.Homer was only bred a few times but produced very well for a short time .Gr.Ch. Virgil is one that no dog could stay with 50 minutes.Who wouldn't want to own either dog.Ozzie owned Homer,Snake, Virgil,Tammy,Rastus,Wiley,Cholly and many more. But those dogs you could build a foundation off any of them.So both dogs records speak for themselves and are great dogs no matter how u cut it.

 

the big $ keep to many dogs in when they cant win and should be picked up. just my oppinion.
