Wasn't the Dublin Red strain one of the first Irish line of dogs from back in the 50's/60's if I'm not mistaken? Finding someone still breeding these dogs tight must be an impossibility? Don't know overly much about them apart from brief accounts of what I've read in books (Irish Strong Dogs of Old).Cheers

There are some around, but those who has them keep them close. Dont know about the overall quality either. Have an old dog that is about 50% DBR myself, was a nice one in his prime...

 

ive got to keep looking,the hardest bit is finding old friends that had these dogz years ago i had a little psycho x oflynn dog called JOCK ......

 

named after jock o'braidosly? i might have seen pics of this dog on a website few years back. good looking fella the one i'm talking about

The lad who had his sire may be the best to ask.
He should know of the decent stuff left from the dams sides breeding too.
Should be a little easier than looking for a red strain dog.

 

spoke to him a few times over the last few weeks mate ,hes got a nice dog i want to use at some stage,hes on the look out for some of his old lines but i want to try and get a dublin i know where there is a couple just need to work on their owners lol ,,,,did you meet jock???
