I like the Red Devil/Red Boy cross.... I'm also a fan of both Red Devil & Eli dogs....love the way this one was bred:http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=74

This is my boy Castro: http://i945.photobucket.com/albums/ad299/Enki40/DSCN0371.jpg
I don't have his parent's peds online; but his sire, Hannibal, is a devastating grandson of the great Ch. Gambler x Fifth Element; he's 18x Wise Maximillian just on his top side alone; and his dam is line bred thru the old Dowd's Southwest stuff...Samson, Amos Moses, Empress, Duke, Lady Kim, Ginger to name a few.... and this is
his dam's belly mate brother (this entire litter was off the meat rack):

I like the Eli/Red Devil cross...from what I've seen, it produces straight ahead....Mike Tyson type bulldogs and Castro is an example of that style. However; his sire, Hannibal, was the total package...Mohammed Ali type.

I'm a believer in the history that I.M. has delivered thru out the years. Considering the history on Red Boy himself...would the OFRN/Red Boy cross really be a cross? I wonder why it click sooooo good? Hmmmm...the story makes a lot of sense to me.

I also love the Red Devil / Boudreaux cross and had goodsuccess with it for years. I owned the dogs SW Samson, SW Amos Moses, SWEmpress (along with others from Sid Dowd) and they are all buried at my place.I crossed them to tight-bred sons and daughters of B’s Boze that I raised. Thecrosses weren’t all great (or even box worthy although a nice percentage were),but they were all bulldog and I was never ashamed to claim them. The Red Devilblood proved its gameness over and over.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I can’t say enough good about the Ironline dogs – I’mfeeding an old female now that I.M. sent me. She’s almost 9 years old, but shehas a home for life right where she is.

Red Devil was a perfect blend of great blood from some of the best breeders of that era.
Formula for sure. One of my Favorites...My absolute favorite dog in the world is his boy Max though

Thanx for the input... My old girl will be 12 years old July 30th. She goes back to all those Dowd's Southwest dogs....and she was HELL in her day. I bred her to a son of Ch. Gambler x Fith Element and that stuff REALLY clicked.....wish I could turn back the hands of time...got some really good hounds out of that litter...gambler's delight.....most folks came to the [] thinkin' they were facing just an ole pretty mutt lol.

The DSW hounds that we both mentioned are from siblings of Max if I'm not mistaken. Did you ever run the DSW dogs into I.M.'s stuff?

No, I’m sorry to say. I live in Texas and a long ways from I.M.’s yard. I have often thought of frozen semen from one of the old blood, but my female is old and so am I. If you have any breeding age females from the RD blood, consider semen from I.M. I don’t think you could go wrong there. Hopefully the RD blood will live forever and right now he is the man doing it.

The frozen semen from IM is a good idea. A friend of mine has been thinking bout going that route to get some of the OG blood.

Sid Dowd's Southwest Duke is aka Creed's Duke aka Eckstrom's Duke brother to Offer's Tuffy 2xw off Red Devil and Iron Queen.
    Sid was big into gamecocks.
J, K, M, had the males off Ch. Gambler and Fifth Element. DOB 10-4-2001.

And for those who tell stories I don't have that old straight blood anymore like Fifth Element,
Fifth Element and her litter mate sister Hemlock Hattie were both bred to Joliet Jake.
The pups are standing on my yard today.... :)

Yep... I was supposed to make the trip with K up to your place when he picked up J, but I had to work...talk about pissed. I think you were under the weather at the time and K spent a few days at your place...came back braggin' about kickin' it with Bobcat and being schooled on all the history & stuff....rubbin' it in my face....I was hot lol!! I think you were going to send another pup back with K, but neither of us had the space at the time.

The Yankee Boys bred Ch. Gambler to his daughters, I personally didn't feel they had the power I like.
No where near like Gr. Ch. Koko, Muhammad Ali, Ch. Iron Bear, etc.
I sent a half brother and sister off Ch. Gambler to Sonny Don in Chicago, while I was down there he had a friend keeping those dogs and had bred them.
Don and him told me they were some of the hardest biting dogs they ever saw.
So later on I saw more and more of it being done and it held true.
The power didn't come from Ch. Gambler per say, because it wasn't from the Red Boy or Maud in Ch. Gambler's mother side but from the RD in the dogs like Ch. Iron Bear.

I remember many years ago when the grandson of Koko, Cassius Clay was taken and handled by Pinky & the Brain from Rollbar (Rapid Roy) and out hunted I.P. Bandit in 18.
Pinky and everyone couldn't believe the dominate power of Clay in the hunt and he just bodied up his power in body and mouth.
Later when I talked to Pinky about it, I told him that Clay looked & acted like a bulldog so he was just bulldoging his way along!
