Thank You Gh I don't understand why a basic comment is drawn out into something else, Instead of educating the Op people want to draw this out into something else, Never once did I ever say a pedigree determines a dogs worth lol I simply said knowing how a dog is bred in most cases lets the owner know what they have if the guy breeding the dogs is honest. If you have no pedigree at all and the people who bred said dog doesn't know the linage and traits behind the dog you really can't claim the dog to be any specific breed this is what we commonly refer to as a mutt or an unknown mix . It's not rocket science and those of you arguing with me are not buying or breeding dogs off unknown stock or looking at local shelters, flea markets, and on the side of the road for the next big thing lol. I really can't believe any of you took the time out to even argue with me since what I am telling the Op is correct, and those of you that told them they have an Apbt based on some pictures is silly. None of you know plain and simple.

Sadie your right, without papers, or knowledge of it's linage then it is a dog of unknown linage or a "mutt" The problem lies with individuals interpretation of the word "mutt". Many people think you are saying it's a "piece of shit" because of how the word mutt is sometimes used. "Look at that mangy mutt!, "your dog ain't nothing but a mutt!" ect. There are many words in the English language misused like this. I made the mistake once and referred to my gypsy as a bitch in front of a women that didn't know the true meaning, she looked at me like I was a complete ass hole. So even though that is the accurate technical term, some people are offended by it I guess.

 

Yeah I call my dogs mutts and they are registered APBT's I had no idea people would get so offended by the word mutt or mix lol. I said many times that the OP's dog is lovely and nothing is wrong with not having papers as I am sure it's a good dog regardless, that wasn't good enough I suppose lol. I think some people like to argue just to argue, the difference is I was actually trying to help the OP by keeping it simple, now I am sure they are confused. I could give my personal opinion about the dog and what I think it is but I don't like to put those ideas into peoples heads who knows why this person is even asking us to identify what breed the dog is could be anyone trying to build a case wanting opinions on wether the dog is an Apbt or not. I was simply trying to say no one can look at a dog and say one way or another how it's bred a pedigree coming from a reputable breeder is useful in determine that.

 

Wow sadie you are something special.a mutt is a dog of mixed breeds and I've got several apbts and have been around a seen a shit ton of em and that dog sure looks like one to me.and you say you call your dogs mutts and they're registered woo hoo for you.to me you seem like one of those types lol.myself I don't reg. my dogs for personal reasons.but I bet you would be just as good an adba judge as you are a depicter of a man's dogs breed.but what do I know I'm beneath you since you are a MODERATOR.whatever.anyway bro he looks like a pitbull to me and you evidently are into him since you have already dumped the time money and effort you have into saving him I tip my hat to you.a lil advise if I may take a few bucks get him fixed and enjoy the shit out of him.

The Apbt has many different looks who gives a shit what the dog looks like opinions come a dime a dozen, you still can't just look at a dog and know how the dog is bred or what breed of dog it for certain without seeing a pedigree or knowing how said dog is bred how hard is that to comprehend or understand ? I don't care how many years you have been around these dogs 1+1 = 2 Some sensitive ass folks on this thread lol.
