no sir it is not.that mcdaniels got out of dogs a couple years ago.what confused me about his breeding was that he did not have any heavy cornbread dogs.
i just think he did want him to come up missing.when i talk to him i'll ask about the pad lock.
    lol

Its the not the padlock so much that I am concerned with but rather the over all barbarianess of the setup from a chain thats way to thick with no swival or collar... I would say as ghetto as it gets, but ive seen some fine setups in the ghetto... Its fine if thats your lifestyle but dont post pics of that shit as it looks rather bad on the owner and reflects on all of us and the bulldogs that we love...IMO...

Lol yeah you can put a lock on one without putting the chain straight around the neck

that is not a very good pic,i agree.a set up like that is ment to prevent the dog for coming up missing.i be sure to let him know not to post pic of his anti-theft devices.my thing is the lock, the chain can get knoted up and he could have lost that dog.but that never happened.it just looks tacky. the animal in that pic is a bulldog.if he wasn't then i'll be concerned.
i looked at that ped many time and that never caught my eye.guess i was into the ped too much

There are much better ways to achieve this without the dog having to have a chain around his neck. Plus if someone wanted it they now would just bring a set of bolt cutters. That dog may be a bulldog but anytime I see pictures like that it screams amateur. I'm not judging just saying, that's a shitty way to keep any dog.

An O ring on the opposite side of a collars buckle being padlocked to the D ring already on the collar will accomplish the same thing your friend is trying to achieve in that picture and the dog won't have to sport an humongous chain around its neck 24/7.

Like I mentioned, ive seen some fine antitheft devices in the innercity...
From a small cable with a loop on each end and a small threded clamp sandwiched inbetwen in betweesn two collars sewn together with the two buckles stagering slowing down the thief who comes across a cable clamped inbetween two collars... The trick is the thief dont know its there and dont bring the right tools( wrench to unthread clamp or simply bolt cutters as mentioned)...
Out of sight out mind is a good way to keep the dog and the security devices and a swival is essential on any theather, not to mention a descent collar!!!
