good post cajun, thats a good way to put it, but if you dont know enough to know any better you believe what ever sounds good to you...
thats how I feel reading ziggys post, like hes trying to sell something that he dont understand...

not to say that about the schoolboy didnt contribute to the dogs as elviejon01 said and I agree...
"The man bred raised and campaigned a sdj ch. He produced great animals and his blood is still around this day doing well in different parts of the world. For that he has my respect."

I also noticed some dogmen you rather admire from afar and not know too much about while others are endless giving trees...

He is a pretty good guy and has my respect, some people on here would be down on most any dog man you can name. This is one of the few sports that give competitors no respect.

Richard seems like a good guy. He's always been willing and open when asked about his opinion and or experiences. Like any other dogman he isn't immune to controversy or what not. Those things are none of my concern & I always revert back to the old saying " there's your side, my side, & the truth". I try to keep things simple in those type matters unless PROOF is supplied and all sides have had their fair chance to respond accordingly. Other than that it's kind of like the old school song says 'I don't care what them others say, JUST BE STRAIGHT WITH ME".

No I haven't EP. Although I may put it on the list. Lately I've been wanting to start another collection. We'll see there's a few other things I want and if the list dwindles down I may get it.

Police in Curry County were kept busy over the weekend investigating a pair of homicide incidents that left three people dead. The most recent homicide happened Friday evening when an apparent argument over a dog fight ended in gunfire and the death of 41-year-old Moises Ortiz.

Clovis Police Department Capt. Leon Morris said Ortiz was involved in a reported dog fight at a home in the 1600 block of Hammett Street about 6 p.m. when he was shot in the chest. "There was supposedly a dog fight," Morris said. "But I don't know the extent of how that was involved in the shooting."

Police quickly made an arrest in the case, taking Fernando Garcia into custody early Saturday on a charge of murder and dog fighting. Richard Garcia was also arrested on a charge of dog fighting. According to an affidavit filed in support of an arrest warrant, a witness told police that Moises Ortiz was fighting his pit bull with a dog belonging to several other men. An argument erupted when one of the dogs tried to quit the fight. The witness told police Fernando Garcia displayed a handgun and several fights broke out. During the fight, several shots rang out, and Moises Ortiz was hit three times in the chest. Morris said Monday afternoon that Fernando Garcia was being held without bond and that Richard Garcia was released on $5,000 bond.

    Jury: Innocent of murder

Jurors spent two hours trying to sort conflicting stories.
A Curry County jury on Thursday found Fernando Garcia innocent of second-degree murder.
“This is the best feeling in my life,” Garcia said minutes after the verdict.
The incident that left Moises Ortiz dead by gunshot occurred during a dogfight on Feb. 28, 2003, at Ortiz*s home in south Clovis.
Jurors needed about two hours of deliberation before reaching the verdict. Juror Leigh Willmon said testimony from witnesses was confusing.
“We wished that we could have done the guilty verdict, but we just didn*t feel we could with the evidence we received,” Willmon said.
“The witnesses were all telling mistruths and lies and we couldn*t tell from that what really happened.”
The jury also found Garcia, 20, innocent of charges he tampered with evidence. Garcia was convicted of dogfighting, a felony carrying a maximum penalty of 18 months in state prison. Defense attorney James W. Klipstine Jr. asked Judge Stephen Quinn to sentence him to time already served.
“My client has spent almost an entire year in jail and has no prior adult criminal record,” Klipstine said. “We would ask that the court sentence him to the 111/2 months served, which is in excess of what would normally be served in this case.”
Deputy District Attorney Bryan McKay objected and asked for a pre-sentence report.
“He does have a juvenile record for public affray,” McKay said.
Quinn agreed to wait before deciding a sentence. McKay said if Garcia doesn*t get the full 18 months, he wanted to see at least intensive probation supervision for the maximum six months the judge could impose.
Fernando Garcia*s father Richard still faces charges of dogfighting and assault with intent to commit a violent felony in connection with the same incident.
“For all the families in Clovis, all the fathers and mothers, if their children get in trouble with the law, make sure you get a good attorney,” Richard Garcia said. “It looks like there are a lot of innocent people in Clovis in jail.”
“We would like to thank each and every one of the jurors, even though we don*t know them, for looking into the case,” he said.
Fernando Garcia pointed to what he called inconsistencies in police testimony as one reason for the verdict of innocent. He also pointed to a medical investigator who said on the witness stand he*d never seen a report submitted with his name and a signature that wasn*t his own.
McKay said prosecutors still believe they had the right man on trial.
“Just because the jury decided there was a reasonable doubt doesn*t mean the jury didn*t think he killed Moises Ortiz,” McKay said.

You can get shot for much less than that here in the states. Life is becoming pretty cheap here.
