These are european wolves and they get to the size of a gsd. They regularly kill dogs because the dogs, like this one, run up on them and try to bay them. Trying to bay an intelligent predator by yourself is Brave and all, but IF your not a Big ass catch dog you probably Should just Leave em alone.

One quick question do spiked collars actually offer any protection to a dog out on a chain I mean they were invented and had a purpose but now there pretty much seem used for fashion

I always heard wolf dogs were highly skittish almost flighty BUT a bulldog wolf mix would be funny to look at maybe call it bull wolf or American pit wolf terrier but odd are it would just be a waste but funny

wolfes in eastern europe,,get to very large sizes,,,no dog will stand a chance against a large alpha wolf let alone a pack....most wolfs when on there on will try and avoid shepard dogs,,as they don't want to risk injury..but like any other predator driven out off the pack/getting old/lack of prey/etc/etc..they will take advantage...off whats easy...dogs/cats/etc.....

they often actively seek out dogs actually unless said dog is a lot bigger. alphas, in and of themselves, are to alway the "largest wolf" necessarily. more so the father. the famous wolf lobo (who seton SWORE was over 150 pounds) was about 87 pounds. there were plenty of other wolves in his pack (including his mate) that were larger than him.

you'd need a far bigger dog to take on a wolf. one will end a pack of smaller hounds within minutes, and i've seen an account where one took out a few great pyrs i think.
if the wolf is the attacker, and is bigger than the dog, not likely. it'll just crack the skull.

    1. alphas do not technically exist. the PARENTS exist. most wolf packs are a family group.
    2. they do not lead dogs away. not on purpose. rather the dogs follow them and the wolf make the best of a good situation.
    3. most sled dogs are dead scared of wolves. especially ones that live near them.

lol, i feel like a smart-ass now. sorry guys.

saying some of the same things we said,,but in your own way...the dog followed a bitch wolf in heat to their deaths....a pack of NATIVE sled dogs huskys/etc...can be just as aggessive as wolfs...ANY-WAYS finished on this..lol

Yugoslavia is a crazy ass place

plus if they knew the wolves kept coming back I don't understand why they don't sit out and take the pack out over the coarse of a week if they keep raiding the dogs yard it seem like target practice would be great fun over there
