hi my name is Michel, i'm new here, i am planning to visit several cities in, laos and vietnam with a local travel agency vietnam. Ideally i would like to bring my dog with me. i have found lodging options in all two countries. however i am not so sure yet how difficult/easy is the entry into these countries with a pet. I also wonder if the pet limits me in taking public transportation to move around….

..why the hell ya want to drag a dog to a tropical country,,first off all ya will need a pet passport..then a clean bill of health..the countrys you want to visit are rampent with RABIES..and then they may not let the dog in either way...it would be safe for your dog to be left at home with someone ya trust to look after it or good kennels...

I just picture you walking down the road and all the locals pointing and licking their chops drooling to make your dog a meal.

We tried to export a Dosa (Korean mastiff) pup to Germany last year. From Newark. It was a nightmare!
Had to have a Rabies cert 14 days beforehand and a vet check cert within 24 hrs of flight..ect ect.
Lady was paying Big Bucks for dog. ($5000) turned out it was too much trouble. She never got
the pup, our partner had to refund the money. Pup is still in Jersey. The pup was bred in Canada
so that didn't help. Leave the dog home and enjoy the trip after you get
your shots for Ty-ford fever and shistosamiosis.
