When AC comes knocking.

    So I got the visit today. The funny thing is they received a tip that I fight dogs, and that my dogs kill bald eagles..... Yes my dogs are so fucking bad they can swipe a soaring eagle out of the air for a nice midday meal. Thankfully I went to school with responding officer and she thought it was rather interesting that I had these bald eagle killing dogs.

    Some asshole with a grudge. They gave them my name, she told me she had to run my name to get an address on me. She even suggested someone upset That I wouldn't sell or give a dog to. Funniest shit of all is they tried to say they had a picture as evidence I had killed bald eagles..... it was a pic of a dead eagle that was my profile pic on fb during Alabama/Auburn week.
    Officer basically said she could she dogs were fine and she hated auburn to, so she called it an unfounded tip and closed the case.

    I envision a new sport. It's like a combination of badger hunting, weight pull, flyball, dock jumping and wall climbing. Dogs fly off of ledge and snag eagles.

    Haha. Well I'm glad this AC officer had some common sense. Too bad they can't disclose the identity of your accuser.

    Every now and then there is AC that did not drink all the Kool-Aid.
    My mother-in-law was visiting a friend and their dog bit her. She had to get stitches. The hospital made the call to AC. They went to the house and the people did not answer. He followed up with a visit to my mother-in-law. To get to her house one can look over the hill and see some of my dogs. He got out and did a look see. Checked on her and asked her to let me know he would be back the next day to further check out my dogs. I was 50 minutes away eating when she called me. I just about shit in my pants. A frantic drive home. I started at 10PM and by 6AM I had all young dogs, puppies in the pens, treadmills gone, medicines gone, the whole nine. He rolled up at 8AM. Smiled, and said the dogs looked different in the dark. Said it was nice set up. Dogs looked fine. Reminded me there was a rabies clinic at the shelter the following weekend.

    Nice guy. But talk about nuts drawed up to the inside the whole conversation. LOL

    Glad all worked out for you, Cajun. I had a similar incident about a month back. A neighbor called SPCA on me and said I was running a puppy mill. SPCA came by when I was working but my wife was here. My wife didn't let them in the gate to look but they wanted to. They told my wife the dogs they could see looked great and so did their setups but they said they wanted to come on the property and look at the dogs in the woods. My wife declined and told them they needed to speak with her husband. They said they would be back with the sheriff since they were denied access. They left and I called them a couple days later and spoke with a woman on the phone for a few minutes and haven't heard back from them. I haven't sold a single dog lol but now I'm running a puppy mill lol. Again, very glad things worked out well for you.

    I get them every once a year or so leaving their junk ass business card in my door with a note saying to call. I don't. Lol. On a few occasions they've showed up. They want to see the dogs. They know me more than I'd like them to due to events 15 years ago. Think they can call me by my first name like we're friends or some shit. Anyways, they know the deal. Get a warrant and you can see them dogs otherwise piss off. Don't hear from them again for about another year or so. I've had to learn a lot about our laws here over the years. Know your rights. Here, they have absolutely no legal authority. Anything served needs to go through EPD and they don't got time for dumb shit. Like welfare checks on dogs. I think most times they, AC, just try to bully people and many give in to it and let them look. Make them them do it right. They want to see something? You want to see a search warrant. If they get one, they are only allowed to be in the areas listed on the warrant. In other words, your yard not your house unless they can get a judge to sign off on that too. Post your property private so legally they can't even be on it without your permission or they are trespassing.

    .. main thing ya have them looking good...be nice and polite ..when talking to them at gate/door...and small talk ya will find then that some won't even bother check your yard then.and for-get all-about ya....if ya...give them shit..they might have it in for ya then...
