weak teeth for tug o' war

I have an 11 month old girl who of course loves to play tug o' war and will pull until i let go or she wins(naturally). The only problem is that she will not hang in the air when i'm not holding the other end of the rope. I figured its b/c her teeth are still weak. Basically, how can i get her to play this game by herself?

No such thing as "weak teeth",,she is not going to know automatically what it is your trying to do,,you have to build her confidence

Nah, I think it's just a household game he is playing with his dog.

honestb, I don't think it's because your dog's teeth are weak. I think your dog is just not used to hanging from a rope, or maybe her jaws aren't strong enough. Whatever the reason is, I think it is mostly because your girl is still a pup, keep playing with her and I have no doubt she will get the hang of it.

ditto for me. Took my dog awhile to "get the hang" of it, (sorry bout the wording, :D ), but, now with her own confidence in holding and with me, she "holds" very well, onto EVERYTHING!!!!

I wouldn't soak the rope in broth, that'll just wreck the rope when the broth goes bad, plus you don't want the dog to eat the rope.
