How big is the adverage game apbt female. I have a 6 month old who is only 20 pounds. is that normal?

yea, depending on the bloodline. Game bitches usually range from 38-45lbs depending on bloodline.

  3. You cannot size-up gameness. A 20-pound APBT may be much, much gamer than a 50-lb one or visa versa. It is wiser to look into pedigree than go by size alone. Even a great pedigree will not assure you gameness. That is why experience (one you gain it) will teach you that a TRUE game dog is far between. In other words, one hopes that each litter of 9 game-bred dogs will have a TRUE GAME DOG.

I believe the man is asking about a "gamebred" female. As a quick estimate on "average" I would throw out 35-45 lbs.

I meant gamebred but it wouldnt all fit on the page.

    hows your bitch bred?

got a 18 pound (fat for winter) 6 month old comin to me soon.

like Rocky said, you cant put a weight limit on gameness. that could go anywhere from 20 pounds up to 80 pounds (though less likely at 80 pounds, as usually the larger dogs have been bred for size, & have been comprimised due to "adding" in some size from another breed)

Let me ask your question in a different way, correct me if I have you wrong:

If I have a game bred female APBT, how much could I expect her to weigh full grown?

LOL 5 lbs. either way is a relatively small gap. Its purely a judgement call. And in actuality, we could mean the same thing. Are you talking conditioned or chain weight? :D

It all depends on your dog's lineage & genetics. My smallest is 28lbs & my larges is 55lbs.

  14. I have now 9mth old girl who is 40-50lbs and i'm wondering if that is normal since her siblings are 60+ lbs. Your girl is too light but as long as she healthy all is well.

Remember folks, this is a slow maturing breed. It won't be until their 2nd birthday (sometimes even older) that you know how "big" or small they will truly be.

  16. Uh......is that suppose to be an APBT in your avatar?

  17. rocksteady

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

No, thats not true. That dog could be perfect for her frame size... 9 months ad 50 pounds could be considered way above the "normal" weight of the game bred apbt

    K_BHOY Pup

As a pup you should not be concerned about its weight as long as its not too over or under weight, if you know the line your pup comes from then you can guesstimate its finish weight as an adult imo

  19. Judging By The Blood And The Picture Of Your Dog I Would Say Upper 30's To Low 40's But As Said Earlier She Is Still A Pup And She Has A Lot Of Growing To Do.but U Look Like U Got Yourself A Nice Pup There And I Wouldnt Be Concerned She Looks Great To Me

  20. all 40+ lbs of her. she was younger then bout 7mths.
