Pumpkin and Jackie got their new houses today. I still have to put the rolled roofing on Pumkins but 2 down and a few more to still throw together. The build definitely went faster the second time around. Jackie is already looking for weak areas in the roof to exploit for a rebuild lol.









Pumpkin is getting up there in age so I don't expect her to spend much time jumping up on her house very often. I'm still going to add rolled roofing though to make the roof last longer.

Can't nobody tell you that you're dogs don't breed true.

 

Right. Particular dogs here spit out carbon copies of themselves. I get texts and emails from people who have dogs they got from me years ago. They'll send photos and I'm like, no doubt that dog came from me. I might not remember exactly who the dog is off of by memory but I can tell it's from here about 9 times out of 10.

 

My red dogs have a particular look and structure to them and my black dogs have another phenotype. The red ones are usually shorter, thicker boned and built like shit brick houses and the black ones are long lean and rangy in type. It's rarely ever the other way around.

 

Started Jackie being bred to Maximus repeat breeding yesterday. Was supposed to be Israel x Jackie but Israel still isn't interested in vagina. Maybe he's just a lil homo IDK but all he wants to do is fight still. Straight up screams to get at her. Even muzzled, he still just tries to fight her. He'll mount and as soon as his face gets along side hers, he starts trying to grab her. I may just have to A.I with him if I ever want anything off of him. SMH.

 

Luna just turned a year old on Halloween. Really liking how she's coming along.

 

Had a bitch who was so fast and strong that a helping friend couldn't hold her during a mating and severely twisted his back when I came up behind with the male. It became chaos two in the clinch and a crying friend with what turned out to be a double hernia from that crazy bitch. To my regret, the mating was never repeated and I now understand the usefulness of a breeding stand. Good luck with the pups.

 

Thanks. I had her in a stand and muzzled when trying to breed Israel to her. He was muzzeld too. Mostly because she's 100% DA even when in heat. Now, for whatever reason though, Max and her have always been very very friendly with each other. I put Jackie, whom was a single pup born, with Max's litter, that was only 2 weeks older when Jackie's dam got eclampcia like 3 weeks after she was born. She immediately dominated the entire other litter of pups until about 3 or 4 months old when I had to remove her for beating on the other litters pups too much and constantly. Max and Jackie grew up as kennel neighbors their whole life and when I let one or the other out of the kennel, they'll seek each other out and get very friendly with each other through the fencing.

Now, I'm not dumb enough to try and actually see if they would be OK with eachother while running loose since I know what kind of psychopath Jackie actually is under all that friendliness but they have always acted nice towards eachother. They both hate Israel though. Max and Israel are my yards arch enemies. They straight line it to eachother when given the chance. Israel will ignore every dog down the line here until he gets to Max's kennel, then all hell breaks out in the yard until he is removed from the area.

My daughter and I joke here about Max and Jackie being BF/GF. They just never fire up on each other like they both do on all the other dogs here.
