    We have a meat market in town and when their ribeyes get up around $13-14/lb I have a shit fit. I like a steak as much as the next guy but most of all I am a cheap bastard.

    A few weeks ago he bought 5 aged/Wagyu ribeyes. With shipping they were just shy of $260.

    With all the affection I could muster, I told him he was a dumbass.

    But to each his own.

    He won a Pork Butt competition a few months ago and ever since he has turned into the cook master.

    I hardly ever cook anymore as he has taken the grills/smokers by the reigns.

    I pretty much show up to eat. LOL

    Back in the 89s some of you older cats may remember Crispy Chick . I haven’t saw one in forever so I assume they all gone .Hands down the best COB out there and I’ve saw lots try to replicate it but still not quite as good . If you do fried chicken around here you better have a good COB. But as far as KFC , Chick Fillet type places etc etc Crispy Chick was the best . Everything on the menu was good . They even had a great breakfast and one of the best dam home made burgers around .

    COB is just chicken in a bun but not a chicken sandwich. Get it 3 ways ,mild., hot and very hot . No dam lettuce ,tomato, mayo and all that shit . Just sauce and jalapenos . Sauce is important

    My favorite Chinese dish. Crispy skin roared port and duck. A joint in Amsterdam, was excellent.

    When I am at the coast (NC) at my brother-in-laws around the Davis community they cook any and everything that comes out of the ocean.

    This did not sound good, and when it was being made it did not look good.

    They dropped fresh caught shrimp, cobia, and tilapia in a blender. They pulled the mix out and made it into balls a little bigger than golf balls. Then dropped those in a deep fryer.

    I was hesitant in tasting one but from the first one til the end of the night I was by the Fry Daddy every time it dinged.

    I ate like I was on a drunk but haven't had a drink in 20+ years.

    Damn good.

    I can't roll with the horseradish sauce but I did go with a shot of Texas Pete here and there. Mostly plain, straight out of the fryer.

    That night I truly understood Pavlov's 'conditioning theories'. The Fry Daddy "dinged" and I came from where ever to the front of the line.

    That Pavlov guy was onto something.

    During my years of activity, the people I met, the so-called really serious dog people, were all, with one exception, lovers of good food and drink. I didn't meet a vegan at the time, thankfully.LOL

    Made these yesterday. I used 1.5 grams of THC Diamonds reclaim with 1 gram of THC Distillate and 1 gram of powdered Psilocybe Natalensis in these Chocolate peanut butter no bakes. Made a batch of 20 of them but these 2 will do for now lol. That's around 130mg THC per cookie and .05mg Psilocybin.

    Lol naa. I'm eating one as I type this. =))

    They are potent but my tolerance is a bit different than most. Lol. Should have put another 2 grams of Natalensis in them. 1g was definitely not enough. I'd like to start working with making chocolate bars in the near future.

    Some guy gave a new chef in the company an ounce of hash to make space cakes. The chef, who assumed that everything had to be in a cake, proudly walked with the freshly baked cake to the bar around which we sat. The supplier eagerly grabbed a large piece to taste it and after 3 large bites he fell off his bar stool and I almost peed my pants laughing at that guy deep in dreamland.
    The new chef didn't work there long.
