How often should you bathe your dog? He is not a smelly dog but for some reason his feet stink! I have been doing it about once a month, but in the summer I have to give him a bath more often because I take him to the beach alot.

once a month is enough with soap. It will dry out their skin if you do any more. You can hose them with just water as much as you want.

there are different shampoos you can use to prevent skin drying, but one bath a month is plenty. try usign a shampoo with tea tree oil and oatmeal, it smells great and will help with dry skin. or you could always tie some odor eaters to his feet! lol j/k

I use oat & milk shampoo. I get between their toes good, with a soft brush. A little baby powder with a brush will help. They walk it off, doesn't hurt. Unless, you get kicked sometimes like I do, while applying.

No more than twice a month, using harsh shampoos can strip the skin of essential oils and actually dry the coat out faster. However, hose him off after every romp at the beach, as salt can also dry out the skin very quickly.

Dogs feet. . . Stink. Generally people describe it as well, a "corn chip" or Dorito odor, and I concur with them. Like missy said, a little baby powder won't hurt, but you'll probably have to deal with some chippy smell ;)
