How old is your dog? If he is still a pup, you should lay off on the running and weight-pull for a while.

Regardless, a dog's build is mostly genetics. Exercise will help, but dogs don't build muscle from exercise as easily as humans do. In other words, no matter how much you work out a Chihuahua, it won't get "ripped".

Just a plain walk wont give much benefit. Your dog will only really benefit from running. The only reason i handwalk is to socialize the dog. Crosstraining is the key. Its also helps to have another older bigger dog that the dog gets along with to provide "schooling"(used loosely) at a young age when they are playfull. It helps develop wrestling muscles and technique. Here is an example... Shes never been "conditioned" about 12 mths in pic. The sag is due to a false preg on her 1st heat. YIS

It's not only good for the dogs body it's great for their brains too! It's getting out and seeing the world, stimulation. The brain is like a muscle too and the more stimulation it gets the better the dog's personality. Lets not forget that endorphines exist for animals as well and that your dog will be well off after regular exercise.

yep i see i might get a trednmill

  10. say big papa...man walk you dog and train him to pull you a little...thats works...and then as it gets easier for him to do that......put a weighted harness on him, let him run around for a while when you put it on him everytime and walk him with it again every once in a while having him pull you and see the differance...worked for me..

I like to have mine do some weight dragging. It works wonders on him. The thing is to have him do it every other day so the muscles can grow. I've been doing it for two months and I noticed that he gained hind quarters and a bigger chest. he also has a better endurance and jumps higher.

try this vit called nu vet it really works, makes them ripped but u must walk him and let him run also! look at the website www.nuvet.com

There is absolutely no need for any bulk up pills. You can simply do by hand and dont get lazy. nuvet is a good way to turn into these Blue Bluff, I have a big BS, dog owner who pumps his dogs full of weight gainers and suppliments. Its like a gate way drug to supliments. Just ride a bike, run, or get a tredmill. If tredmills are not legal where you live, than get on your bike and run him. Dont over work him......Also swimming helps alot. Dont swim in salt water and keep him away from the fine grain sand. Dont start getting into these supplements. Do it naturally and your dog will be fine. A good kibble with an egg here and there and a good work out is all you need. You dont need a "ripped" dog, you need a healthy, well mannered, excersized dog.

its nothin wrong with giving ur pit nuvet here and there! we spoke with plenty of vet doc's they said it is fine, just not a everyday thing!!

Again with this word "pit". Use the full name or acrinim. I belive its APBT or "American Pit-Bull Terrier". Streight out suggesting that you just start a dog on some sups to bulk him up is a pretty novice and ignorant thing to say. Are you too lazy to see your dog and it's "Raw-Ability"(got this from Slick Willie)? There is nothing wrong with getting off your ars to work your dog. You dont need sups to frickin do it. Take it with a grain of salt and excuse my back.

seems like ur are to senstive, and we are not lazy ( u jerk)
dont sit here and knock me for what we use! if that is what we choose then that is on us! iam not going to tell u that ur dog needs to use it, that is ur choice just like it was ours! we have spoke with vet docs that said its ok to use it ,and its not a everyday thing! so until u try or use it dont knock it until u try it! which i careless if u use it or not!

To name ones actions, i.e. "novice and ignorant thing to say" is well acceptable, but to resort to degrading remarks as to call one an "jerk" is rude. I dont knock anyone for what they use but how they suggest to use. Check back and read again. I never once told you not to use them, but dont go suggesting that this will "bulk your dog up". Dont come at me like that again.
