When I read this I was expecting something opposite of what I saw. I was rewarded with exactly what I stereotypically think of RE dogs... a fat dog that is waaaaaaaaaaay too big to be an APBT. Thanks for enforcing my view of RE dogs. You shouldn't be jogging any amount of distance with a 4 month old pup. Strenuous activity should be limited until they are at least 10+ months. I prefer to wait until a year to work any dog. It isn't healthy for a growing pup to be working like that. Let the pup be a pup. You might want to watch the feed a bit. Prepare to have a grossly large dog that doesn't fit the APBT standard at all. This is just another typical RE dog. Woopty doo and I'll continue to whistle and twiddle my thumbs...

    Regards,

    B

Your dog is beatiful and has great potential of being a big muscular blue which will be hated here. If you feed right and exercise right, but not right now. Like I said Pm me for some positive info.

    I sent you a PM

Hey B, good luck but I just figured out who this person is & there is NO getting through to her as she's only here to start shit & get people riled up. I don't deal with idiots.

Honestly, the pup looks good for what it is- A PUP. And a bluff at that. I'm shocked at what I'm hearing. Had this been a gamebred pup, everyone would scream bloody murder at the owner jogging their dog 2 miles a day. But we make an exception for bluffs? If anything, this dog is under more risk because of the joint & hip problems it will no doubt suffer from as an adult. Valley, please stop working your dog so hard & let him be a pup! Real work shouldn't be done until the dog is at least a year old, as he is still maturing.

This doesn't mean don't work your dog. If anything, you should keep him lean as an adult to help reduce the chances of hip & elbow dysplasia that RE & Gotti dogs generally suffer from.

It's a good looking dog, but it's not an APBT. End of story. No amount of money, papers, or opinions can turn it into an APBT. A mutt is a mutt is a mutt. The end.

The dog looks good. I cant deny that. But I must admit that that blue dogs should be given a new name and should be classified as a different breed. Because all dogs were bred from a few different breeds and blue dogs have created a consistent standard. Your dog is about average weight for a blue dog.

as was mentioned, it's probably the breeding causin the weight. my females grown and weighs 44lbs unconditioned. and let the pup be a pup, the exercise they get playing is enough to do them. jogging them that much is too much imo. and gettin the dog fixed is a great idea, and should be done early on.

  8. Thats a Big PUP J.M.O..... all blue dogs are bred for all the wrong reasons, Some are PRETTY "dogs" but is that what i want?... Most Blue dogs are bred for mass, muscle structure an Appearance..Well pretty much All are jmo tho

Must have missed my reply? I openly said that jogging 2 miles with a pup is 100% the wrong thing to be doing. I just went back and put it in bold so that no one else misses it. LOL. Do I repeat myself so much that people just skim my posts? :D

Considering that she's probably going to double her current weight, how do you not consider that oversized and overdone?

I didn't mean you ;) I'm just saying everyone's calling the pup fat. Well, she looks good for a pup. Theres not much one can do at that age other than cut back on food.

Then what's the point of keeping her intact? She can't be shown, she doesn't have the structure for that. Every other activity, a spayed dog can praticipate.

  19. why shouldnt she be able to keep her stuff intact

thats like askin you to chop ur dick or vagina off... what ever u are

One shouldn't compare dogs to humans.

Why shouldn't she be kept intact? She's not breeding quality, she's a pet. It takes a more than responsible person to ward off trailing male dogs when a bitch is in heat. It's messy, and a lot of bitch's get awnery in heat. Spaying prevents numerous ailments like breast cancer. Why should she not be spayed?
