Ok I am new to the breed and have been more addicted to this site and the history of the pit bulls, but on these reads I see things that I don’t understand such as: sing, BIS, and more and also how a “match was done.” If there is anything that you could share or sites or something that way I can learn more. Thanks

  2. Glad to hear you enjoy historical/fictional "tales". Prior to the 1976 "act", BIS was used to stand for Best In Show which is self-explanatory. On the "singing", how would a dog "sing"? Think about it.

If you interested in the breed, there are more important things you can learn. Memorizing accounts will NOT teach you about the breed.

Find a copy of the Cajun rules, and you will understand how most matches were done "right". Probably 95+% of shows were done with either Cajun Rules, or Modified Cajun rules in recent history, in America.

Suki didn't you post a long while back a glossary of terms and difinitions? That may be helpful to a historical research too.
