None of us know for sure, and unfortunately most of us never will. But I think that is besides the point. Now, I'm not real keen on saying our freedoms are being eroded one-by-one... But, there is a definite "witch hunt" going on out there, no doubt about it...

Teddy, you talk of evidence and building a case. Unfortunately, groups such as the H$U$ and PETA are more-often-than-not involved in cases like this, and we all know who's side they are on. Innocent people have been convicted for the procession of a break stick, a treadmill, or some similar piece of "paraphernalia". Men and women have been charged, their dogs destroyed, only to later be found innocent. I'm sorry, but I DO think that's a damn shame...

 

My dog is a bad ass... However, i have not allowed her to be dog aggressive. I can take her to a dog park and let her loose without a single fear. She can play with a toy poodle, or wrestle with a rottweiler.

Sure, my spring pole could be considered a dog fighting training tool. That would certainly be considered supporting evidence if i had a fighting dog. However, right now... Its simply a toy for my dog to play on. ANd the shock collar... Its not illegal. And its not illegal for my dog to play in water with it on. So that is a pointless argument.

If you want a APBT that is dog aggressive, you are a problem.

 

The sad, bad fact of the matter is, if folks are out to get you, they will. There is now bounties placed on the heads of APBT owners as much as $5000 to $10,000. So any low life crack head can turn you in for the $$$ whether you are doing anything or not.

Furthermore, an "investigation" can be something as little as them watching your place. It doesn't mean it was someone went undercover & got to know you personally to prove you were fighting dogs. They might just watch your place for a bit & see you running a dog on a mill or see you letting your dog play with a flirt pole & bam, you're busted.

You continue by making the most uninformed statement this side of the century....him getting his dogs back. He will NEVER see those dogs again. If he is lucky and the new trend continues, some of those dogs will be placed...more than likely, 75% of them will be destroyed. This is regardless of him being found innocent. In addition, even if they find him innocent, he will be forced to pay the shelter for housing his dogs. This can run in the tens of thousand dollars....all because some hero felt his pocket empty and opportunity to fill it up in the poor economy we are all living.

Lastly, the dogs "chewing" kids faces are not (for most part) game bred dogs. They are a compilation of breeds and mix of breeds with a phenotypical "pit bull" look. SMRT? lol....did you read that in a book?

Breeders should be destroyed? Yikes. You are putting animals above people...your fellow human beings? Destroy families, leave kids fatherless for the sake of your opinion on how dogs should be treated?

You obviously know nothing about this breed despite your time "lurking". Real breeders plan their mating well in advance. They choose dogs that will potentially improve the breed. Anyway, i will not go into further detail because the breeding aspect may be well above your head.

Yes, dog fighting is illegal. We all know that.
Like already said, innocent until proven guilty.
Who cares if he used his dogs for catch dogs, weight pull, or sold them. That's his prerogative.
And I doubt he would just sell his dog to some random "idiot" and I doubt even more that the dog would "grow up and chew off a kids face" I'd trust a game-bred dog before I did your average everyday pit bull/staff/bully etc. Plus, most owners that have game-bred dogs take better care to contain their dogs, rather let them run loose outside in the public.

You want to know what can be used for evidence?
Scars
Training equipment (springpole, flirtpole)
Breeding stands
Medical supplies (IVs, meds, syringes, needles, fluids, etc. Oh! I Must be fighting)
Multiple pit bulls
Caged/Chained pit bulls
Oh, they even put ribbons on there, they are a "cover" for winnings at a fight
And I am sure the list goes on...

 

Yes you may have a dog that gets along with others,At least they have time being. But you also do not have a true abpt get my point? That is what I have and I would like to keep them I hunt with mine I need the truth not a shell of a dog that looks like one. I also want my kids to be able to have a honest game bred dog. And the way things are going its Just going to be Cheap copies left And understand this they dont give a crap If it looks like a pit its a pit. When they order all to be put down your little babies are on the list. NOW DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEEN? Guy bred great dogs that were honest true to standerd and he is being perscuted for it. J

 

One more thing....I like everything I own to be first rate. I buy quality clothes, best grown veggies and fruits, best meats, etc. My city has a speed limit, that would not stop me from getting a Lamborghini if I had the money. Owning that car does not mean I intend on breaking the law. We choose to have true-to-standard specimens not water down versions.

 

I always was learned that YOUR DOG IS A RELECTION OF ITS OWNER..But again that what I was learned.

BTW, how did you not allow her to be DA? I'd love to know..Sadie has hit maturity and is super DA, can't even walk the brat. So tell me, what did you do to curb it???

Well, than I guess the majority here is the problem, rather the fools who let their dogs offleash everywhere and bring them to dog parks. Those are the things that affects the public's view, not a responsibly kept DA pit bull. The day your little girl decides not to take shit and doesn't back down (like these dogs were bred to do) and everyone there sees how awful the BREED is, not just her, but the BREED.
If you want a pit bull that is expected not to be DA, than you, my friend, are the problem.

As far as Mr. White goes sorry to here that bad news. As far as people bashing those trying to perserve the breed get off this site, cause thats why we are here. If you read Pit Bull Community's Mission Statement at the top of every page then you would see in plain english that this is a site about the perservation of the original AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER not staffs, bullys, or anything for that matter thats not a TRUE Bulldog. So if your going to post people be smart and think cause the haters and snitches are teaming up and making REAL peoples life harder and harder.

P.S ask anybody from the South what happens to snitches and see what they say. :cool:

Humaniacs, PETA, SPCA-- they can't come take my dogs. My dogs are healthy, happy, socialized, vaccinated and receive routine vet screenings.

I found out today that im a humaniac, i guess i should kill myself because i use e-collars and exercise my dogs on a spring pole.. I had no idea how obvious my lack of knowlegde was... :rolleyes: Having raised a APBT (RIP) and raising two Amstaffs using the e-collar as a tool... You, buddy, cannot tell me anything i don't already know. My use of e-collar affects nobody, but my dogs and I. If what you do, could possibly affect my future rights... I have every right to ditch the live and let live philosophy.

Ive visted many Amstaff and APBT kennels... Stellar dogs, stellar people. I certainly did not say destroy all breeders. I didnt lurk here because i wanted to learn myself on breeding practices.

Stick to the OP, rather then try to homosexually abuse me over the internet and peddle your bullshit... My opinion of how dogs should be treated falls in line with what is legal in the US of A.

Yes, dog aggression is inherently part of the breed. I never nurtured that behavior. I had her in dog parks since she was 12 weeks old. That behavior was disciplined accordingly. I guess the answer to your question is.. Proper training / early socialization. Simple.

There is a show called dog whisperer... The guy rehabs bastard dogs regularly... Although.. That might be a magic show.

 

hmm.....well u are basically trying to impose ur opinion on how others should treat their dogs, well im sorry to say but 95% of people in this country treat their dogs like humans instead of what they really are. In that same mindset they give these damn dogs more rights than most humans get, which in turn ruins a humans life because he decided that he wanted to chain his dog outdoors and actually keep it in good shape instead of having the dog shit and piss all over his house and lay around being a fat slob. No matter how u word ur responses ur still saying the same thing and unfortunately nobody on this site agrees with u, oh and by the way look up most dog fighting cases and u'll see that a springpole was considered dog fighting evidence so therefore ur in the same class as Al White and should have ur dog taken and u be charged with dog fighting.
