yeah i remember that now in White Fang they brought the "bulldog" to beat the dog Whitefang in the box because he was an undefeated sheperd or husky thing or whatever..of course the "bulldog" dispatches him quickly but he still lives... and no there is no real good scenes just well placed cuts and pans but the bulldog does look real good...

I think the original Homeward Bound used a bull terrier. Then an American Bulldog was used for the remake. (Although the book has chance has an English Bulldog)

LOL, nope (I wasn't 100% positive of breed) it was actually an Amstaff belongs to "Stockdale Staffs". The movie was from 1998 though, that is a looong time ago... ;)

I honestly don't know... The last time I saw it was probably almost 15+ years ago. If I knew something, I would have tracked it down by now. Great movie though, I hope someone reads this and remembers what I am talking about.

    Regards,

B&D here you go bro....dog was a white shepard BTW
    WHITE DOG
One of the most famous "unseen" films, WHITE DOG never got a theatrical run in the US despite its well-known cast, legendary director, and powerful subject--racism. Kristy McNichol stars as Julie Sawyer, a young actress who lives alone in a fabulous hillside house. One night, while out driving, she hits a beautiful white stray dog. She takes the injured dog to a veterinarian and eventually brings it home with her. When a rapist breaks into Julie's home, the dog, which has been playful and gentle up to this, attacks and nearly tears the man limb from limb before the police arrive. The beautiful dog, she learns, has been trained to kill blacks. A black animal-trainer, Keys (Paul Winfield), begins an attempt to recondition the dog. However, the dog manages to escape one night and wanders into town, where it maims another black man. When WHITE DOG finally opened in Paris and London, it was hailed as a masterpiece. Eventually the film did show up on cable television in January, 1984, but it was so radically re-edited that the dog was transformed from a killer of blacks into a canine that merely bit unsuspecting victims. Directed by Samuel Fuller. (1981) This is the uncut, unedited European version.

One of my favorite movies with a pitbull is called American Flyers with Kevin Costner. There is a scene in there with Costner training for a bike race and out of someones yard comes this red/rednose pit chasing after him on the bike, hes going as fast as he can but the dog catches up to him and grabs his shoe while hes pedaling. I think the dog actually gets the shoe off. Great scene. Another one is Flashdance. There was a rednose in there named Grunt. Clint Eastwood is in a movie called the Dead Pool. I havent seen that in awhile but there was a scene with him talking to a pit dog man and in the background you can see pitbulls. I think there was even one running a catmill or jenny, but it was very brief. I also remember an episode of Miami Vice from the 80's that had a storyline about pitbulls and a dogfight convention.

Diane Jessup being the wonderful woman she is  decided that it would be o'k to let her dog be used for an attack scene in a movie where the dog looked like it was attacking a little boy. That pretty much sums it up without getting into too much drama.
