Rain here and prob about 50 degrees...3 and a half inches of rain last night

 

Same up here! Rain rain and more rain, down to 39 right now, suppose to hit 20's tonight

Too damn cold........about 18 now, wind is strong.........tonight low of 9, wind chills -10 below...........oh brother

 

It's cold as fuck here, always is it seems... I got currently 17 degrees but with the wind it's -4 out side and definitly feels like it. We have probally 8 - 10 inches on the ground right now with more to come. We passed a record the first day it snowed here, 12.6 inches in about 14 hours. Did I mention I really hate the north? Heres what we are looking at currently through Wednesday:

Waking up to -9 wind chill, 9 degrees actual.......which broke a record........yay!!! This sucks. 3 inches of snow and ice on the ground as well. House is getting dry as a bone.

 

I think we both are in for a brutal one this year. Not looking forward to it. Actually, im already sick of it and we still got 5 more months. Been bunkering down the hounds all week.

 

Honestly fellas I don't know how y'all do it! Kentucky is the furthest north I've lived, its gotta be hell having dogs as well

 

Thank God for the double chambered, insulated, stuffed full of straw dog houses!

 

I need a few of those for bitches with pups.

 

I could never see keeping dogs in barrel houses here. I know people do it but I sure wouldn't trust them to keep the mutts warm in these extreme type winters we have been having lately. I use the same dog houses 87 and stuff them full with straw. 2" insulation board inbetween the double walls and silicone sealed and I still feel the need to check on them every few hours..

 

I use to be the 8 to 12 part about 10 yrs ago.
