What did you guys think? I unbiasedly watched this fight (10 times) and still scored the fight with Bradley winning by 1 round, or 7-5 or 115-113 just like two of the judges. I don't think Bradley did anything special (other than OUTBOX Pac with a L broken toe and R sprained ankle), i don't even think he hurt Pac. He just boxed when it counted.

yeah, we talked about it in the other thread.

for me, I thought pac won when I watched it. It seems everybody has bradley winning just a few rounds... but everybody's opinion on the rounds he won differ greatly. So that right there tells a tale of a lot of questionable rounds... in which case its just not the biggest robbery of all time like they seem to think so. Maybe he should have won, maybe not. Thats why it was a split decision and not unanimous.

There is a rematch clause in the contract right? We will see, I think they said something about Nov 10 in one article, who is really the better boxer. It is not like Pac had a spotless record so he really lost nothing with this, if he is the better boxer then he can win his belt back and prove it again. I didn't see the fight so I won't make a judgement on it, I read it was poor judgement, but you got to give Bradley credit for hanging in there with those injuries and not getting hurt. Maybe Bradley didn't beat Pac, but Pac lost the fight(in the judges eyes) cuz he could finish off an injured guy.

Boxing is a dieing (if not dead) sport in the U.S. with little to no media coverage and it would have only been a 30 sec spot on espn had Pacqiao won,
and with very few possible future matchups that would bring in more than the diehard boxing fans for a PPV event, I am not surprised at all by a controversial decision between 2 fighters with the same promoter, it creates more media attention and interest in a rematch which will equal more PPV sales for the promoter and a bigger purse for the the boxers

You may want to refer to this thread if you want more opinions on the bradley fight and other fights past present and future.

that thread babedulce referred you to is kind of the catch all boxing thread. The last 2 or 3 pages are full of Manny x Bradley comments.

I feel like, if Manny was the champ, then the Bradley deserved to win if the fight was that close.

1,5,7,8,10,11,12 for Bradley. If PAC would have finished the fight he would have won. The last three rounds decided it for me. It was close but when he quit punching in the second half I had no choice but to give Bradley the close rounds. He flat out stayed busy. You can't steal rounds with last minute flurries and expect to win. Especially when you opponent boxed the entire 3 mins. And also when he made you miss a majority of those shots with excellent head movement.

Did you score it that way each time? However you all scored it...Manny should of been able to take Bradley out.No way is anyone going to bet alot of money on Pac to beat Floyd. That sucks!

Might i make a suggestion that when you watch ANY fight you do so with the sound switched off , the fight then becomes totally different without some commentator telling you whos doing what and influencing your judgement , try it and see ? This applies to any fight you ever saw

Another thing that makes a difference when you are watching a fight live at home is you get caught up in the moment a little and things that look like a big deal that are not. That is why I think the commentators come off as byuss alot...it's their job to get you worked up after spending that much money.I think that's why they kept Larry at home for this one.

All I heard all night was Manny this, Pacquiao with a hard shot. The commentary was completely one sided. I had it close on my scorecards when I first watched it live. But those last three rounds sealed the deal. Those guys were blind to the fact that Bradley was doing his job and boxing, sticking, moving, countering, and staying aggressive.

boxings still the fight game & only pacman came to FIGHT, Bradley back peddled & gave ground till he span himslef an injury, brought nothing but durability, pressed less effectively, initiated less effectively, countered less effectively from the first to the last bell...
