I'm familiar with the 2 male judges, but not Sharon Sundy. Does anyone here have any luck showing under her? If so, does she like quiet or loud dogs, other likes or dislikes??
    Thanks, J

As Boogie said, she is legit and I'm not saying that just because I got a best puppy off her. She likes real apbts noise doesn't matter.

I personally think it is ridiculous that question even has to be asked. When you put one gender of mature adult terriers in close proximity of one another, chances are you may get some displays of dominance. My dogs tend to be eager to show off. I've had judges give me flack for it. Saying they can't accurately judge a "moving" dog. That's absurd and I question why ADBA doesn't make a clear and definite decision on this topic. So we don't have to "pick" which dogs we show under whom.

Regardless, all three judges are solid and we'll be there!!
And we'll personally bring the dogs we like, and hope the judges like them too!

While I do understand what you're saying YellowJohn at the end of the day they still have to judge the dogs conformation. That's what it's about. Not who barks the loudest. So if you cannot present your dog to the judge for a minimum of a couple minutes for them to get a solid look at the dogs conformation then that's on the handler, not the judge. It is impossible to judge things such as angulation on a dog if you cannot calm it down for a minute or two. That is just one example of a judges dilemma when judging hot dogs.

I'll be there, my curs don't want any part of another dog so I don't have to worry about that stuff anyways lol

Boogie, I'll just agree to disagree with you. I've seen ADBA change their stance on this subject many times, so that questions like this have to be asked.
I've been exhibiting dogs at ADBA shows going on my 20th year. I've seen the stacked statuesque type handling that they've promoted in the past. And IMO that's the easiest way to cheat!

..... You can hide many faults in a dog that is standing still. But nothing is hidden when a dog is moving. I wasn't talking about "barking", at any rate, my point is this show stuff is way over thought. Just bring your best and compete and don't sweat the small stuff. Can't wait for Missouri!!

Actually I believe it's just the other way around lol It's easy to hide faults in moving dogs but not dogs standing still. Now the whole stacking vs natural stance is a different story. :)

I'll be there with a few. Hope the weather is good so they can have it outside! :)

You both are right a good judge told me, as a handler its my job to hide my dogs faults from him. That being said I am a novice especially comparecd to someone liked Boogie who has a GR CH 10X ( maybe even more lol). An example being I can have a dog that has a hocked rear but moves well but while standing obviously shows the fault but if I stack him no one can tell.....

That's true Texas! :) I love it when I watch somebody spend 2 min stacking their dog when the judge is about done with the dog before it, then the first thing the judge says is "Step that dog forward a couple steps" lololol. Hank Greenwood does it all the time :)
