    I have always believed you can go over board on protein.The dog can only use as much as he needs to perform certain task.The rest is just shit.All depends on how hard he is working.Body has to break down everything, so what they don't need , still has to be broken down.

    Out of sight and not out of mouth keeps them out of mind,,, good post Dredlock...

    I just listened to a talk show about a man that has had the longest running health show on the radio since 06,,,
    he style of dieting is very low protein and the idea is a good source of carbs gets broke down and the body uses its own fat for energy and it forms a healthier muscle mass that actually balances itself out right,,,
    he claimed this diet has been used by extreme athletes for years and brady has extended his career with the diet...
    he watched his protein intake and it balanced his carbs into a better energy,,,
    keyword...ketones... This might make for an improved keep in the dogs,,,IMO....

    What Is Ketosis?

    I have actually read about this a little bit.Was reading where a lady beat cancer by putting her body in ketosis ,think if I remember right she beat it 3 different times.Poor digestion and excessive fat is what some of the geniuses say cancer thrives on.But any way the woman refused chemo and chose ketosis.I can't remember what type or stage her cancer was.Intersiting though.

    they say most american diets prevent the ketones from working and it comes natural with a balanced diet...

    dont let that option pass you up as the top and bottom of that blood will go great with your tight geechie/ sparky dogs,,, I would jump on that opportunity in heartbeat if it arose and I would surly kick myself for passing it up!!!

    and when you take the devil on your left shoulders advice,,, please share...

    or if you can get something like this,,, please share...

    ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [547842] :: BAXTERS BONES

    I just remember A HUGE one!! I had A very good combat gyp in my early years! The only problem was every time she was highly stressed she started with red mange! I was told don't bred her, she will almost certainly pass it on! Well to make along story short, I did anyway, and she did pas it on, 3-4 months after the litter dropped everyone was in the ground! Although it taught me A HUGE lesson when line breeding health is essential! Now any breeding certain blood work is always done! Including check for heart worms!! I remember bumping A old gyp who had been down the road many times, 10-15 minutes her back legs gave out and gasping for air!!!!??? drew some blood and sure enough heart worms!! She was almost 10, but we put her on the table and started the treatment, got two more clean litters out of her! She had been on cariscide ever since she started eating on her own! So go figure! I recommend A inexpensive blood work up for any gyp before breeding! If something isn't right then go from there!!

    I had a bitch like that, I made the choice not to chance her passing it on and always kind of wondered if I should have stepped out on a limb and done it. She was probably the gamest dog I've owned and always kinda kicked myself for not trying to see

    I know it's tuff!!! But you don't want that running through your bloodlines! Especially raising every pup! You saved yourself a lot of time and money! Some never learn and they just keep battling that stuff! You never want to bred heart or immune definceny problums into your yard! You did the right thing for sure!!
