automatic dog feeders

    Most bulldog folks don't free feed so I doubt you'll get very many responses, it's worth a shot though.

    I know a couple well known dog men that free feed ...From what I know they eat a lot at first and then they cut thier self back ...But I don't know what brand of feeders they use or how durable they are..Not something I'm interested in but yes I know a couple that do it.

    I never have either but not saying some dont, just never met any personally who always kept food in the bowl. My mutts would look like bullies if I ever fed that way. Kind of hard to maintain a weight if they are eating whenever they want too. I dont know of any bulldog proof feeders but im sure you could get yourself a deer feeder, they are metal and many have timers on them so you can set it to feed at specific times of the day. Would be quite the eye sore to look at though lol. Good luck in your search. ;)

    I have the best automatic dog feeder there is. I waited for 9months before it was assembled and delivered to me but worth the wait. They don't make'm like that anymore. Have had it 8 going on 9yrs, have another 10Yrs or so paying on it. It scoops too, named him Elijah after the biblical figure. Nothing like a son for the yard. LMAO!

    Lets see, how many of you have 30+ dogs for 45+ years? or had as 150 dogs at the same time?
    Automatic feeders will cut the intake by 15% to 25%. If they get to fat, change feed to less fat.
    Dogs won't gorge feed and only eat when they are hunger.
    Look at bright side, humanics can't say the dogs didn't have access to feed.

    For the record I only free feed pups till they are exactly one year old to the date..I was just saying I do know men that have auto feeders .I didn't know IM did.

    I definitely haven't had no where near the number of dogs IM has so I'm not saying it's not true, it's just hard for me to believe it cuts the dogs food intake. I've never known any bulldogs to free feed and keep a healthy, thin structure. Not saying I'm right, that's just my belief.

    It cuts the intake many ways. They won't gorge feed or spill their feed and only eat when hungry.
    They are very healthy. And when humanics come around can't claim you are starving your dogs or planning on doing something. Or you are denying them food and the dog might have just finished what you gave him.


    Thin structure isn't a good idea in the north come winter time, under feeding dogs to make weight?
    That is so old excuse to be cheap.
    If you know how to condition dogs you will know how to make weight off without cutting feed.
    Hint: a prospect or finished dog is always in a good pre-keep everyday until they are retired!
