Being a Christian or person of any religion doesn't make you a man of god. It's a set of beliefs people are suppose to live by but s lot of people pick and choose which parts of the word they want to see abd ignore others quite often. They are all still human and these events are very well documented.

Marriage WAS a religious thing. We are suppose to have freedom of religion right? This goes all the way back to my first post when i said that certain people feel they are entitled to rights and benefits that they think people different from them shouldn't have access too. Marriage is just one of a trillion examples. Marriage in 2016 is more than a symbol of love and commitment. There are lots of financial benefits that come along with it. So who had it backwards? The newer generation or the older generations who liked things they were before we started tackling all the social equality issues. Notice how much the country has become divided since we address gender and racial issues. This country has NEVER been about equality but it sounded nice to say. When we try to level the playing field people become outraged lol

You see its not about Religious people not wanting gays to have financial benefits, its about gays not trampling into our religious freedoms which is suppose to be SEPARATE from the state. (this is a inside job done by the powers that be to further chaos but that is another story lol) ....So yes you still have it ass backwards fool. Why on earth would they be satisfied with a civil union? This goes back to peole thinking they have more rights than prior different than them. Civil unions do not provide federal protections, benefits nor are they recognized by all states. You want them to just be happy with what they get even though it's less than what others are allowed to have, right...

I doubt that's the issue at all. I think the issue is you belittle the feelings and concerns of others. People can sit hear and tell you exactly how that are treated differently than others and instead of listening to them you will say they think they deserve "special snowflake treatment". Instead of fighting for equal treatment they should just accept things the way they are and stop complaining right?
