A hard mouth is a function of genetics period. Muscles consist of fibers that are responsible for the activation of muscles and a bite only occurs as a result of jaw muscles contracting. Only certain types of muscle fibers can be made to gain mass (as in conditioning for 1 hardest bite) and I suspect that the function of jaw muscles in dogs doesn't lend itself to that type of muscle. Also, Skull structure also plays a role in how hard the bite of a dog results: genetics. At the same weight you get a group of dogs that have been relatively kept the same and you eliminate to some extent the variables that will allow one to determine what genetics provide for the hardest bite. Oh, and dont forget your control group, LOL. Good luck using the scientific method, anything outside it is pure and unadulturated conjecture.

 

If the science is black and white then why isn't every yard filled with bone crunchers?

 

You dont necessarily need to gain mass in a particular muscle to gain strength,thats considered Hypertrophy
