Ch. Garner's dexter

  1. Key word in my post was majority not all so therefore one of my pups sisters could already be hot but his not it varies with these dogs. I'll tell you what I've had dogs for years and the only shy ones I had were older dogs that were poorly socialized. I'm not one of those guys that gets a pup throws him in the back yard feeds him and waits till he is older to do something I take my pups everywhere till they can't no more. Had a female that was OK with other dogs till 6 months then I only took her to places where there was no other animals just have to be cautious! Btw this is not my first apbt and not my first Garner dog so let's move on from that subject and talk EL Negro/Dexter dogs plus everyone's different when raising dogs.

I own a daughter off El negro that has been all I could ask for. She never had all game litters or a litter of super freaks but every litter there were a few solid performers no matter what the topside was. I seen a 4 off of Bobby, 2 cold, 1 cur, and 1 freak. I have one off of Dexter that is very stand offish towards humans but loves to play with other dogs.
If you think T.G keeps all of his pups together in the same pen until they are are sold or until they are older you are a fool. When I was up there some years ago he was separating and shipping out some 5-week old haystack pups because they were acting very foolish. It all has to do with knowing your dog and paying close attention to his behavior changes. As long as you feel confident in your monitoring and quick on your feet with a break stick handy you should be fine.

Glad to see that you got your hounds coat looking good. I have a friend with a black little bitch that has same issues. I will tell him to give this stuff a try. Always thought it was outside/environmental allergies.

  15. I always wanted to know the story of Ch, Dexter. My camp has one 2 of his offsprings and they are something special. I always wanted to know how long his matches went, and things of that nature.
