No disrespect to anyone but it would worry me to get a dog from a big named dog man like Chico.I'm not calling the man dishonest and much respect for his accomplishments .Just heard to many stories about some big time breeders sending you something less than what you paid for.Again I'm not accusing the man of being dishonest as I don't know him at all.I feel they know who serious and who's not so if I don't know you or have references that know you then I won't waste my time spending my hard earned cash to get a dog from a big time breeder.Good luck with your dog Dex.I'm just speaking out loud here not pointed at you directly.

Chico Lopez is in Brazil, no? Understandable when US folks import from Europe a working shepherd prospect for example, but Brazil for an APBT…are Lopez’ dogs that uniquely bred? Personally I think his lines are great, and his dogs look great - as good as any imo especially for those who fancy the red/red nose color scheme-Machobuck type. But man it seems a bit risky dropping $$ + steep shipping costs from South America on a puppy from lines which I believe can be found right here in the lower 48.

Well said ! I agree with you. One thing that i am guilty of myself is not reading the thread. God of Thunder, was given to us as a bonafide gift , an act of kindness that's not seen to often these days. We will raise him with lots of love, good nutrition, exercise, ect. If He lives up to his name when he has matured and given a fair chance, I will be proud to call him a Bulldog. "God of Thunder" if he doesn't? He will ride the lighting ! Also I would like to add that I made a statement about sending upcoming pups/ prospects to real Dogmen. I mentioned AGK, Slim, however I didn't exclude anyone . Folks love to jump to there own conclusions. I just roll with the punches.. Big game coming up with Alabama/Clemson National Championship and I'm looking forward to it. My wife and I are at Myrtle Beach for a 3 day get away.. HapoH New year to you and all of the game dog family...

No offense to anyone on gamedog. Read the tread. The prospect is a gift. Nothing more, nothing less. A favor returned from a good man. No shipping was paid, I haven't received paperwork yet. Yes my wife and I will be placing upcoming pups/adolescent''s to Real Dog men. If you fit that description and carry yourself as a gentleman, you know who you are. There are a few Dogmen on this tread who Pete Colby Sr. and I offered a few pups to about 2 years ago. You might remember this breeding. One of my girls from this breeding... Hinemoa on the bottom 4th was actually DSK / Sorrells gyp..The DSK blood crossed well for Bert into his stock.Right after this was when him and Joanie divorced .

A lot of the Sorrel's dogs were bred down out of Zeke (sire of Bolio) so most of the Sorrel's dogs, like Bolio, crosses with most anything.

My buddy spent a number of hours in 'carpet mill school' from Mr. Sorrel.

Although the line/family was successful, and somewhat popular, I always wondered why it was not more wide spread over the years.

A number of years ago there was a dog bred down out of Bull around here. He was the real deal. He was crossed to the some of the Snooty/Spike type dogs.

As the breeding took place over time the Bull blood was pushed way to the back and in time it faded.

I don't see it much up around this way but I would have to think blood/family that well bred would still be viable.

So far we like what we are seeing. Miss. Joni actually like this breeding as well as far as being familiar with several of the Bulldogs in the ped
She also told me that over the years they owned some honest Colby dogs.. I'm really thinking about taking my female back to Sorrells if the grade is made.. Most are running alityle

    Good looking dog.

Not to get off topic but I like the brindle dogs now. I can remember a time when I'd look right past a brindle dog at a black one. Then over time they have grown on me. I have a brown brindle, slightly lighter in color out there now.

I have laid this side bet a number of times. You make the most appealing dog dish you can think of, a dish a dog will rip right into. Lay that dish down and I will wave a 1" cotton rope. I have a crisp $100 bill that the retard brindle dog will choose the cotton rope. A real re-re.
