Gr ch mayday look rare?

chico told me the looks of an American pit bull terrier is not important and irrelevant and it’s about the genetic which I understand

I think all of them are unique in many different ways it’s interesting but grand champion mayday was rare looking, I never seen a dog that resembles him. The best mayday blood today do not look like him at all,,in my opinion

Does anyone know of any apbt today that resemble mayday. He looked different than all the rest

 

There was a rumor that Mayday wasn’t 100% apbt

 

Many of the dogs off mayday or heavy bred off him look like him. There are many out there.

Thank both you dog men for the responses that’s really interesting. He wasn’t full apbt?? To me I know you can spot a mayday dog but mayday was a rare looking specimen I don’t feel like they resemble his features

 

That was a rumor. I’m not saying it’s true, but his looks and size are unique. From what I’ve seen they get smaller when inbred tho. Maybe I shoulda kept it to myself for not knowing for sure

 

That’s brilliant c note thanks for that. I can see it from the picture similarities you posted. I guess maybe I’m unreasonable thinking I’ll see an exact replica of him or something I mean look at his head and body structure lol every dog has their own qualities

Yea, they “look like him” not exactly like him. I hate to keep tootin the brothers horn, but AGKs red/brown blk mask dogs look alike. If you just walked them in and out of a room real quick they would be hard to tell apart!

 

One thing about Jami, his dogs all looked like they lived in a gym!!

 

EXAAAACTLY!!! Even if you didn’t like how his dogs were bred bloodline wise, you had to respect the breeding behind it. Somehow he had access to top notch bred dogs, I’m guessin that dollar

 

I googled images of mayday as the pics posted weren’t as I remember. I’m not sure that bottom pic hasn’t been distorted. His head is so large and body so low to the ground that I question how well it represents him.

I always thought Jocko and Mayday had similar looking features with few exceptions. Also, mayday (at least the rumor is) had several massive facial tears which had to be but back together which really changed his facial features in some of the last pics I see of him.
I have a customer which claims to have two Mayday dogs and to me they look more like Jeep or red boy/rascal
