    I guess he read the stuff from Mr. Hollingsworth who thought the black dogs were curs.

    I always found that hard to believe. I guess I mean you can have a favorite color or a favorite look but when one does not fit your bill it does not mean he/she can't be a good dog.

    I use to hate brindle dogs, especially brindle patch/white dogs. In time they grew on me and now there is nothing like a dark brindle bulldog. Go figure.

    I laughed at a dog once that cam out of the box white, with a black saddle back and ticked up like a bird dog. At the release I would have been embarrassed to walk around with a dog that looked like that. At 20 minutes I would have been damn proud to stand on top of him. My 'preference' in what one should look like left be really light on the hip.

    Color can be a preference and it can even be an indicator but it can never be the measure.

    Slim I get Brindle bulldogs and blue tick Jack Russell's lol I got a Jack Russell now look just like a Minature Blue Tick and is just about as loud as one and he aint nothing but pure hell and a very hard keeper.

    My buddy and I did some breedings and we had an agreement over the years that we swapped 1st pick from breeding to breedings. Then we split the litter down the middle. If there was an odd number of puppies we flipped a coin for the last puppy. The only thing that posed an issue was when a brindle popped up. From there we would start negotiating, even trading out other dogs.

    And at one time I didn't even like the brindle dogs.

    Funny how the bulldogs of yesteryear when Colby dogs were popular how many were brindle or brindle and white and all white. It’s similar with American Gamefowl that anything other then Reds were labeled dunghill olthough there are game strains of off colored chickens but most keep reds.

    Thats how my dad is! He said only red birds win. Every time someone had a grey he would bet hard against it. I personally like greys but i always keep some reds around.

    I saw the videos of Louis a day or two ago.
    Also know of those so called breeding rights. How on Earth they could be enforced is beyond me. I can only assume it is to do with adba paperwork,but I am still confused as to the worth of that..........other than the price of a pup & I honestly don't see the value in that.
    Puppy peddler & nothing more. He ain't even good at that due to the prices he asks......

    Its called a salea contract.... when you pay for the pup its part of the omg standimg sales contract chico has kept in place. You get limited registration(coownership) on the dog. I mean its pretty popular with many show breeds.... honestly I don't get how ppl cant understand the basics of a sales contract.

    Never met Chico of one of his dogs so can"t ordeal about their qualitys as they are unknow to me, but this are my thoughts about the matter.
    His prices are out of this world but if folks wanna pay that and accept a contract going alone with it … their choice free economy, if they are that hyped up to pay such an amount for a Chico dog … so be it, it is their money, good for Chico, he is smart in his own way. But not that smart is to say that only red dogs are good, that is doing great injustice to all those good other colored dogs, .
    Guess not one of these pups get a scratch on them as they are let's say valuable broodstock as they grow up, or as a pet to showboot with.
    Maybe I'm wrong? and to harsh? and have someone reading this great results with his Chico bred dog?, let us know,lol.
    Have know such a $$$ breeder, with those much '' cheaper dogs pricewise '' they exposed his high dollar valuable broodstock in a heartbeat.
    Those were the times, lol, it is kind of odd to see people 35 years further in time still stepping in the peddlers trap.
    Wellbred pups cost a bit more, no problem, no problem at all, there is a lot of hard work behind the pup and that deserve to be rewarded with a fair price for the dogman/breeder who kept G.A.S. in mind IMO.
