Rest in peace Sean Connery, died today aged 90, we were raised in same city and apart from being Hollywood legend, he's a national hero in Scotland.. One of my favorite stories about Sean Connery, when he KO'd mob enforcer 'Johnny Stompanato' who was abusive husband of Hollywood Diva Lana Turner.. Story goes pretty much as video below, also interesting that arguably Maurice Carver's best stud male got named after the mobster, who got sparkled by Scottish actor who was in same school class as my uncle :-B

I know James Bond put Sean Connery into big time mate, but for me, his best movie was 'Wind and the Lion' he played a Barbary Pirate with a Scots accent, I loved it\m/ Other one for me was John Huston's 'Man who would be King' played that one with Scots accent too, fact I think he played them all with a Scots accent haha!

RIP. A fine man and fine actor, they don't make 'em like that anymore... He was in one of the Indiana Jones movies too, as Indiana's dad, and in a less known movie Robin and Marian, about an aging Robin Hood. And of course James Bond!

For the Irish brothers, check him out in a film called 'The Molly McGuires' with Richard Harris, and for pure anti-authority rebellion against British army, check out 'The Hill' with Harry Andrews, man was a legend!
