The bite suite was a giant tug take off he would look for it slip off a sleeve he ran off with it. His drive was so crazy he would attack the suit while firing Blanks over head. He took a friend down in a suit let go ran up to his face licked it then stole his shoe took off. He was just a mouthy sob who I used his drive for ring sport.

  5. If people are RESPONSIBLE owners I tend to not have much of an opinion, but, overall, I am against the training of APBTs in manbiting or HA either in a PP setting or dog-sports.

There are just so many other lovely breeds that are actually bred to be HA and perform such guarding tasks for their owners and it would make so much more sense to go that route if that was interest, instead of trying to 'train' a DA dog into human aggression which is, in my book, almost always a detriment when it comes to the APBT.

My apologies. I still say no. IF the owner of the dog is responsible, then maybe and that's a BIG maybe.

My thoughts are this.....this breed is bred for certain traits. Bite work is not one of them. Go get yourself a Mal for that type of work.

All of my dogs are off the leash trained non are HA, the Dutch Shepard in the video above plays with my Kids nieces nephews will walk down town and not leave my side. Ive owned bulldogs for 3 decades not one has ever bit a human. My second dog was off smiths red to fine tuned.

All the same dog never showed any ha but I train the hell outta my dog( he was the only one I did sport worn out of owning maybe 100 dogs) I’ve been told by serious dog men one who beat VR and BMW club in Mx that he was 1 in a million and I agree. I also hate seeing people who don’t know what they are doing even owning a abpt never mind training for ring sport.

The video is of a dutch shepard doing bite work. You asked opinions of a pit bull being trained for protection .

Is it bite work or protection? Two different things.

Too many people get pit bulls without doing serious research on the history of the breed. That's where the problem starts.
