Most of the weight on these dogs were faked pretty much the same as most of the papers. The guy was a straight crook, up one side and down the other.

His real name is Max Coates. A real piece of work.

The Uno dog was no where near 72lbs. The video is in his back yard in Richmond. He bought Grunt who was a big dog as a 2XW. In less than two months he had gained nearly 25lbs and won three more matches to be a 'big dog GRCH. All hype. Completely full of shit.

He had the Thug dog (Vernon Jackson bred) and he had him listed at times as 75lbs or so. No where near that weight either.

This is not a set of dogs I would use as an example to proof the big dogs. They are big for me as stated anything north of 47 is a big dog for me.

I tried to breed to his Dracula dog. He listed him as 60 some odd pounds. I took a half ass in shape Two Eyes/Molly Bee bred bitch who was maybe 45-48 pounds and she hovered over him at his weight of "60 pounds".

I thought I recognized some of those big dog pictures from earlier.

I have not seen a lot of big game dogs myself.

I think what happens, like in every sport, as the size goes up some of the athleticism slips down. There are freaks of course, but freaks are not the norm.

A big dog, on the average can do all the things a little dog can do, but again, on the average, not as long. Then the age old debate on what curs a dog and fatigue usually gets voted in at the top. When the big dogs can't go as long as the little dogs and they quit it is only a short drive to 'big dogs are not game'.

How true or no true that can be is far beyond me. Big dogs are hard to handle because they are normally plodders. When working I may weigh my dog three times a day til I dial in to where I can do it twice per day thru the work and then back to three or so at the end (anal about such things). So getting a monster off the chain, picking him up to weigh him is a heckuva lot harder at 70 than 35. From there it can become personal preference.

I have one out back that is what I would think will be way north of 60 and I would guess north of 70. Bred like I like but a monster of a dog. I will say he never stayed when it was his turn to go but I would not say he had seen the other side either. If I thought he would land in the right place I would place him as he is decent enough dog to breed and he is maybe five or six, so he gets to live here til he decides to leave.

Like most things in these dogs, to each his own.

Look at the bone in the front legs of the Alligator dogs listed at 55lbs. They look twice the size of the black dog listed at 80lbs.

The black dog does not have any real height and pretty much zero girth.

I would lay down my spot and take my chances hanging him on the scale that he is no where near the 80lb mark.

Just not enough dog there to be 80lbs.

Im sure everyone here has read the stories about Jamie there are threads here about him. Ch thug was kept at 65 lbs on the chain when Jackson had him and 70lbs when Jamie had him. http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/modules.php?name=Public&file=printPedigree&dog_id=64436. The papers on the dog I posted were legit. There was a lot of controversy about the grunt dog before Jamie ever got him. Don't know Jamie personally but I know the paperwork in uno, thug and orca are legit. Don't know anything about the Dracula dog. And I know from a reputable source uno was over 70lbs. I could care less about his business practices because I wouldn't got dogs from him anyway. Hell when you were trying to breed your dogs to Dracula I was breeding dogs to Barracuda and planning breedings for Outlaw ROM. I have definitely seen a few off of his yard and a couple were big dogs.

Completely off topic but I will bite. When the Barracuda dogs were running strong and Jami was sporting a lot of dogs from Victor (back then). He sent one down to Western, NC as the next big thing, the next bad ass Barracuda dog. In 11 minutes he was deemed much too valuable as a stud dog to continue thanks to Cornbread (Patrick's Kasai X Fat Bill's Miss Two Eyes, a littler dog at that).

I seen some big dogs off his yard as well. His house in Richmond, VA, his farm in Rocky Mount, NC and the dogs he placed in Western Carolina. They were big dogs no doubt, but seldom close to the weights he listed.

When Uno was hung on the scale in Fort Lawn, SC on a bet he was 70+ pounds the piece of shit Jami Long bounce dropped him, the scale hit maybe 80 and he snatched him off on the re-coil and said he did not believe in the old Viking scales. He only weighed his dogs on state approved/state tested scales. (Same night the neighbor's called the police and the hog jumped the fence and went into the crowd, then turned and went to the woods. Tracked, trailed and caught by a 55-60 coal black Colby dog named Guy)

I got a tad bit of experience on the subject as well.

It makes no difference to me either way I did no business with Jamie long ever. I can tell you did or wanted to do a lot of business with him but something went wrong. There were to many good proven dogs around to have done business with him. I just know he had some really big dogs and a few of them came from serious dogmen. As for the alligator female doubt anyone can guess her weight from the picture on the ped with that angle without any thing in the picture to reference size.

I did attempt to do business with him on the phone as Jami Long. I went to his house in Richmond to buy an American Bulldog. The guy that opened the door looked really familiar but I could not place him.

He showed me the AB puppy and as we talked he showed me Uno and Big Momma. When he mentioned Big Momma's pedigree I realized how I knew him and who he use to be.

    I shagged ass.

As a note, Big momma was a AB/APBT crossed bitch with papers of some Molly Bee dogs that never existed as he owned Little Caesar back in the day. She and Uno threw Super Socks, a 110lb APBT by his paperwork.

I chalked it up to a small world.

Just saying. I would not reference a dog from him nor by him as it is more than likely not true.

Again, personal experience, not internet banter.

The two dog's I referenced he bought and both were huge dogs before he purchased them. Oso was from a well known legit camp and he was a big ass dog. It has nothing to do with Jamie long his business practices or that fact that you don't like him. Uno was a big ass dog when Jamie bought him. Ch thug was a big ass dog when Jamie bought him. Orca was a big ass pup when he bought him also. This conversation had nothing to do with Jamie and his breeding/business practices he didn't breed any of those dogs I mentioned. Don't know anything about some Dracula dog you where trying to breed to. In your own words uno was over 70lbs that's all we were talking about. Oso was bigger than Mayday and it has nothing to do with Jamie long. I got dogs from Victor pleanty of times and knew about oso before Jamie ever laid eyes on him.

Yes he bought big dogs. That was his thing. And threw his 'feeding and supplementation' plan they always grew 15-20-25 lbs of lean muscle mass in the first three or four weeks he had them, plus three or four extra W's in that same time frame.

Again, not referencing his business practices just making a point that when using his dogs as a reference in a 'big dog' thread the information he provided was not exactly accurate.

And I am not sure where my own words said Uno was over 70lbs. He was dropped on a scale and it bounced down around 80 but the dog was caught on the re-coil and pulled from the scales. He called that weigh in at 72lbs but would not put him back on the scale as the dog would not touch 70 when still.

    The Grunt dog the same.

The Mayday dogs I never saw so if you say they were big dogs they were indeed big dogs.

Thug went from 65 to 70 on the chain. You talking about 15-20-25 pounds. Maybe he did maybe he didn't. Don't give a rat's ass about the Ws he put on a dog it has zero to do with the dogs weight. I'm not going to keep going back and forth about Jamie's dogs but I know oso and thug were both big monster legit dogs before Jamie touched them. Also had big dog's myself and it's not hard for me to believe uno was 5lbs bigger than my biggest dog. 0828211027b.jpg 0828211027a.jpg so I'll go back to the topic of biggest dog you've owned couple more pictures of my biggest around 74-75 on the vet scale in these pictures.

I remember Jamie Long bringing Uno to The Lumber Yard and to Art's yard and Uno would always place somewhere. In a big event ,Uno would not place at all. You have to remember these events are timed. The other dogs were just quicker at catching.

Yes. Made one trip to the lumber yard. It was a nice set up.

I did not think I would enjoy the hog dog stuff til I gave it a try. It was interesting and I made a couple friends down there.

Art was a rough looking character, nice enough and hospitable, but looked like the bad biker guy in a B rated movie. But a heckuva a guy to be around.
