How in the heck did I miss this? This is the ped I am seeing down here in Texas, is this dog any good? It is several generations back anyways :modules.php

I don't know/can't say how real any pedigree is actually accurate.

I have always heard/felt the Crypt pedigree was correct.

BB was always into something and I think the accuracy of those dogs go up and down with whatever stage he happened to be at the time those particular dogs came about.

They were Red Boy dogs down out of a winning Red Boy dog and to some ( a lot) they were worth their weight in gold.

Most of the dogs in those peds are far enough back that their impact is minimal.

It is now just a part of the story moreso than a piece of the puzzle. After years and years of talking and asking and seeing I do not believe Red Boy's advertised pedigree is correct. Mr. Teal (like others) bought and really good dog from an older black man and took advantage of the times. So if I am not believing in the accuracy of the dog that made Bingo it is hard to say OK from 'this point on' things are accurate.

none of that dogs are even relevant today.
Lots of times these days people are over looking other peoples work in search of those famous names that the dogs come down from.
What you see is what you get.if you don’t know the man behind the dog and if you don’t breed them yourself you actually dont have a clue
I thought a comment as to the hidden reality was necessary and relevant

Correct. The Bailey dogs are back 5 gens in the dog I am looking at, not relevant, just curious as to the story. It makes sense because that time from (5-6 gens back) was when Bailey was alive and active here in Texas. One thing is, and it probably does not matter, but I like it when every bit of a pedigree goes back to dogs that were famous. Does not guarantee anything but just a small sign.

The crypt dog appears 5 gens back.

OK, this is the mother of the dam of the dog, with the Bailey stuff : modules.php
Here is the father of the dam: modules.php

Those 2 make up the dam.

Here is the ped on the father of the dog local to me: modules.php This ped looks pretty good. We are waiting on getting the ped from the ADBA, they are taking forever.

Wouldn't be anything I'd be interested in myself. But that doesn't mean much. Mutts are like women. I like thick Latinas, my buddy likes fat white girls, and some folks like other men lol.

If you just want a pup to keep you company that should do the trick.

Yeah. I try and never have too high of expectations. Although I suppose it does not matter as he will just be a pet. For me, it is fun to work these dogs. They always want to go for a run (using a bike) of play tug. Can't play fetch though.

LOL. Not getting a black dog is practical since I live in the heat. I've just always liked and had buckskin.

I did too for the longest. Now, there is nothing better than a dark brown brindle or black brindle bulldog.
