Bought a pair of these for lighter work shoes on your recommendation. I know they're ugly hey dude looking things but I'm hoping they're light and comfortable

Doubt I would make it out truthfully. I got a bunch of solid friends in California. One of my drivers is from a pretty well known Chicano club that helped get it started in Florida. So I show California support.

 

About to start doing heavy hauling shit. Had to get some steel toe boots. Them twisted X didn't look right with dickies . Wouldn't ever thought damn work boots were this expensive. Some of the homeboys that ride bikes told me to get throgoods.

I wore a pair for 3 months or so. They're a beautiful boot but I absolutely hated mine. They just were never comfortable. I was also on my feet 12 hours a day 7 days a week on concrete. Buddy I work with now came from the state dot road crew. He has a pair he keeps in rotation at work. He said he likes his well enough but never got the "Thorogood bedroom slipper" feeling either.

Great constructed boot, USA made, some of the best looking moc toes you can get, they'll last forever if you take care of them and can be resoled for free or dirt ass cheap by the company. Thorogood is also really good with their warranty and customer service.

Hell they may be more comfortable than the house shoes if you're just checking loads, and not spending 14-20 hours a day in them.

I'm waiting for the steel toe air max 95s to finally come out so I can be comfortable at work lol.

 

I'm still enjoying the twisted x so far. Got same pair and no problems. I tried throgoods and they good boots . It's some really nice American made work boots out there and hard to go wrong with any choice. I have a new pair of Keens right now that I haven't started breaking in yet. I do not like the looks of Keens at all bit good quality boot .Ones I got look more like military or some shot a cop would wear. They were a gift so I'll try them.

 

You guys fill your boots with water when yoi first buy them? I guess it helps break the boot in & molds to your foot....?

 

I've always been told to soak them in water and walk them dry . I have never done it but heard more than 1 say it works.
