    I have not.
I have around 15 or 16 different strains of Psilocybin Cubensis and 1 strain P. Natalensis. I plan on growing all of them but so far have only grown Menace, APE and B+. I'm currently working on Jack Frost, Melmack and the P. Natalensis. I don't have a sample of the strain you mentioned but we get and trade species and strains regularly so there may come a time that we have it.

I'm currently working on Pleurotus Eryngii, Hericium Coralloides, Psilocybin Natalensis, Jack Frost, Melmack and APEs. I try to only grow 4 or 5 species at a time or I get overwhelmed due to my lack of time. I spend a ton of time cleaning and expanding our samples. Recently I have got into making sporesprints and swabs for trading for other species and strains I don’t already have. It's a personal goal of mine to put together one hell of a sporebank.

With agar does it just go straight to grain ? I've only seen spore to grain so I'm limited on the know how from culture syringes and agar

Yes that's one way to use it. Spores are inherently dirty so going MSS to grain I would think you would have a high rate of contamination.

    Mss - Agar - transfer - transfer - transfer - send.

I usually do at least 2 to 3 transfers before sending to grain or LC. Use Agar to clean the sample or isolate strains. Agar to grain takes forever to colonize but once you get 1 clean colonized jar you can then do grain to grain transfer which colonizes real fast. I make 12 to 15 more jars of grain by using 1 colonized jar to innoculate all of them. Once I have multiple, clean, fully colonized jars I then start sending to coir/verm substrate or masters mix depending on what species I'm growing.

I test everything on Agar before I do anything with it. Nothing worse than taking all this time to get them to grow and getting Trichoderma before the first flush veils break. A lot of wasted time. Agar keeps everything nice and free of contam. I also store key samples on Agar in the fridge for long term storage should contam enter the process down the line.

Only other problem I've seen is the damn field capacity of the substrate either too dry and get aborts too wet everything goes bad

I got this down pat. My field capacity is almost always spot on perfect. Here is the recipe I use:

I didn't realize Koh Samui super strain was KSSS when I originally read this. :))

Yes I have that strain. I just put it to Agar on the 6th of this month. Waiting on the spores to germinate so i can start transferring. I put KSSS and Chocolate Kringle on Agar this week. I still have Peng to bring to life in the next few weeks as well.

Yeah have u noticed any real differences in mycelium growth between regular cubensis strains I've always read a cubensis is a cubensis
And the effect are all the same in the end but this is all from what I've read on the internet of course .

Not really, it all looks the same to me basically. A cube is a cube is a cube until you start talking about particular isolated strains like APEs, TAT, Enigma etc are considerably more potent than B+ or GTs for example are.

.7g dose of APEs feels like 3g of B+. I'm sure genetics plays a role with potency as well and cubes are basically all the same with the exception of a hand full of Isolated strains.

Even the friut looks the same to me amongst most cubes. I don't notice a difference at all in phenotype between B+, menace, gt, etc. Only in the albino strains it seems.

AGK, What do you think about this statement: A Cubensis is a cubensis."

  20. AGK

AGK Super duper pooper scooper Administrator

    Generally true.
Unless we're talking about APEs, Enigma, Chocolate Kringle or a handful of other specific strains. Those are all just isolated strains of Psilocybin Cubensis but they are stronger than typical Cubes like Golden Teacher or B+ etc.
