Quite a bit of hype these days regarding a litany of reported health benefits of cannabis/hemp oil...for people and dogs. Anyone tinkering with this stuff on their dogs for ailments, aging, injuries etc.?

For a living I'm a wholesaler of all types of CBD products including many geared for dogs. We carry multiple lines of treats and tinctures. I don't use them on my own dog but they sure sell pretty well. It's also very big for most of the MMA fighters in my area.

What kind of feedback have you received from the dog owners and for what range of reasons are they administering it?

Not to be funny or anything, buuuuut... You sell it but don’t use it? Why not? I won’t buy anything from anyone who won’t even use their own product. That’s just me, nothing personal against you

The feedback has been outstanding for the tinctures and full spectrum treats. We are wholesalers and it is one of our top ten products in terms of sales and last I checked we carry almost 800 different sku#'s. We also carry tinctures for cats. The only difference is in the flavorings added.

I'll answer your other question in my next post to C-note.

I personally don't use CBD's but I'm sure I get enough in the flower I smoke daily... so technically everyone that smokes flower will get some type of combination in their flower or concentrates. Many of my friends and family who do not partake love using CBD's in it's many forms as well as people who do partake.
We sell everything from edibles, to tinctures, to CBD flower, beauty products, and my favorite, the salves and lotions/creams. These I have used in the past with remarkable results on my partially torn meniscus. Even my orthopedic surgeon loves the products and told me his dad uses them daily for neck pain.
My own mother who is 78 years old and has chronic back pain to the point that she was using a walker and getting the nerves burned out of her back every six months has switched to edible CBD's and a salve that we manufacture. Guess what.....she hasn't been to a back doctor in two years and no longer uses a walker. She also sleeps better at night and has more of a positive attitude.

Too answer your question. I only have one dog who is four years old and is in terrific shape. He doesn't need CBD's. But dogs that have arthritic pain, are reactive and generally nervous, have seizures are what I see the CBD's helping. I believe it would also help in recovery from strenuous workouts just like I mentioned about MMA fighters.

  7. Really interesting topic this..
So for the old dog,CBD could be really beneficial..something I've never thought about, but it makes sense..I suppose it could make a old dog more comfortable.rather than pumping the dog with expensive drugs what the average vet is likely to prescribe..
But even for a sick working dog I suppose it could be good to..there seems to be no lasting damage with it.there's no affect (stoned/high..lol)of it..and it most definitely helps pain..
    What a great thing.

Cannabis should of been made legal all round the world many years ago...

I have heard some stories of people getting an effect from some "full spectrum" CBD products because they all contain some THC albeit less than .3% which is the legal limit for sales. Anyone that uses cannabis will not get a high from full spectrum CBD products but I could see where an 80 year old that has never used cannabis in their life might get a slight euphoric effect.

Quick story: I sell a 35mg full spectrum gel cap and the COA's (certificate of analysis) test under .3% THC. One of my clients reported that some of their customers were getting high off of them. What did they do about this? They started ordering twice the amount. LOL

Helpful information RobR73 but you're a salesperson, which is cool and good luck with that but I hoped to read posts from end users. I think with time the smoke will clear (pun intended) and more data will be available regarding the various medical uses and healing properties of cannabis separate from the THC content.

I'm not only a salesman but I'm also a client(some of you oldtimers will get that reference). FTR I only sell to businesses so that eliminates probably every single person on this board. I'm not here to give a sales pitch and push my products for profit. Never had and never will because this is not the platform for that.
I'm relaying the stories that I've heard from my customers, what I've heard when in their stores, and relayed my own personal use of CBD as well as some of my family members. This shit works.
The biggest problem in the industry right now is unscrupulous people selling items listed as so and so MG and it might not have any CBD in it at all. It's not regulated at all. People buy that shit, say it doesn't work and come to the conclusion CBD's don't work. I'm telling you they're not for everyone but they sure as hell work, for a variety of ailments.

I didn't read each post but Rob is spot on with the his last post (only 1 I read). I haven't done my research on CBD because I need THC so my concern is with that portion more than the other. But from what I do understand is cannabis CBD and hemp CBD are not the same. But a lot of people sell hemp CBD in an effort to portray they have the "real" or "only" CBD but that's not true. Cannabis CBD is what you want. And yes it does have healing properties and does and has helped many people. THC helps keep me sane. Maybe the CBD in my cannabis helps with that too LOL.

  12. I see here many opinions that are based on little experience and emotions, feelings. Inform your selves before taking cbd especially if giving to your pets who trust you! I use cbd oil, but don't smoke marijuana, don't have necessity!

I absolutely agree. Right now as never before CBD oil has so much influence and varieties on human and animal lifestyle. Regarding the oil I like that it helps many people in their struggles and make their life more comfortable. I personally use https://baeys.com as my sheep counter before sleep state comes, if you know what I mean. Not only that, I have pain in front of my head when I read much or pay attention on something for a while. Before taking cbd I had consultation at local MD and stores for better understanding. I had oil form for few weeks, but after I found out this website I use only their products. My kids don’t realize what is that and what for when they see the Package. For the dog - we did not have any kind of situation to think sharing oil with him. Same reaction here - visit vet doctor and consult with him/her.
