AADR Registration Questions

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by BulldogLove, Oct 26, 2006.

  1. I went to a show years ago, paid $5 and registered my dogs. Heard from some this is still the policy. I am interested in registering my dogs through them if ADBA is indeed going to go through with this multi breed thing. I know it's very easy to hang papers in any registry, but to have an OPEN REGISTRATION policy where you can register any dog that attends an AADR show is ridiculous.

Does anyone know how this works with the AADR now? Do they still register any dog at a show for $5 without proof of a pedigree or anything?

    Dan,

That is all you ever had to do with ADBA also. 3 gen ped and signatures. Nothing special. I don't know the rules of the new one in New Jersey. Delta will not let you show, hunt, pull a mutt. I will personally see to it that any one I find with mutts gets expelled and there registrations dropped.

It is very hard to look at a dog and decide if the papers are false unless there is a major problem with the dog.

Any registration will have to single dog register to get started. It is very easy to put false papers on a dog when single dog registered. Most will give you the blank pedigree and you fill in the blanks. An open invitation to put false papers on a dog. It happened when the AKC, UKC, and the ADBA open their books. Some people will take this as an open invitation to register the dogs they may have never had papers on.

That is true. However you can look a dog over and see if it conforms to the standard or not. The not's get dumped. There are those of use that have kept our own peds. Organized neatly or not. If the ped is questionable there is a place to call the dog yard stock with it being generation one. Some have brood bitches like this. They are not registared but one keeps a ped on it. No matter how hard you try there will be those untrustworthy folks that will hang. It becomes obvious when the dogs end up being grossly out of standard. There is some level of honor expected. I expect and accept only standard.

  9. So wheres the info i need with delta??? And do i have to have each dog inspected??? i know ukc you have to have each dog inspected by a ukc representitive

  10. When you single register a dog with ADBA you must submit a copy of the pedigree on the dog either from UKC, the SDR or Bonifide, along with a copy of the 3 generation pedigree. They don't accept "AADR only" registered dogs because they know the AADR registers anything. Back in the day every registry had an OPEN DOOR policy, it's how they got started. The AADR has been around for 10 years now, there is no excuse for this to continue. Basically anyone can steal a dog they know the way it's bred and get AADR papers for it? I find this ridiculous.

It all boils down to honesty . Doesn't matter the registry or how strict their policies are . If someone wants to hang papers in ANY registry it can easily be done . TL Williams is a dogman and he does his dead level best for the dogs and to put on good shows . Some may not like the registration policy but for my money that is where i show my dogs . Personally in the near future all my dogs will be UKC registered and all my showing will be done AADR . UKC is the most prestigous registry and has the most legitamacy in the public eye . AADR holds to the standard of the true APBT and isn't all about the all mighty dollar like the prostitute AKA ADBA . My motto has always been pimp the registries before they pimp you . Use the registry that is most beneficial to you .

  13. Yes, I agree too, great point. I know it all boils down to honesty. My problem is not with the lying owners and paperhangers, it's with thieves and how easy these scum can register a stolen dog in AADR. I guess at the end of the day they can do it in any registry if they wanted to. My opinion is the AADR should close the OPEN REGISTRY policy they've been around long enough. That's all, but you know what they say about opinions ;)
