  1. Hello. Ive had both of my dogs for about a year now.. i just have a question about my female..
She is 1 year old now, and weighs about 40 pounds... She comes from turtlebuster lines(im not quite famaliar with this blood, so if someone can give me some info it would be much appreciated)
anyways, my question is - will she stay at this size? i mean, is she finished growing? - she is in the begginning stages of weight pulling, but i was wondering if she is totally finished by her 1 year date, or will she fill out anymore??? thanks!

oh and heres a pic of her.

She still might widen out like get broader but I would say she is probably not going to be much bigger than that.

40lbs is an average size dog, thats not small

I agree the preferred weight for a female is somewhere between 30-50lbs

  12. It was just a name to describe a small dog, i have no idea how anyone can deem it stupid or uncalled for.
i had no idea people even used that phrase.

Terms like ''pocket pit'' create a nitch for Garbidge byb to take advantige of. Besides normal weight for a apbt female is anywhare from 25 to 60 pounds. Youre dog is of avrige size. I could see some one calling a 10 pound dog a pocket pit, however i would just call it stupid and out of standerd. There is another member of this fourm who owns turtlebuster dogs who has already ruffeld fethers using the term ''pocket pits''

The dog is the right size. May fill out some. not much more. you don't want her much over 45. . it is a she right? Even if she was 30 pounds she would still be fine. you should read the standard. You will realize she is right on time. Nice looking pup I might add. I don't think that dog would fit in anyones pocket though.

lol, I know you say let that term die......but I for some reason see fit to bring up that thread from time to time so no one forgets about it and takes that particular member seriously. Rep points coming your way for posting the link to that thread!!
