I feed diamond chicken and rice formula with no issues from any of my dogs..I don't like the lamb and rice or the beef and rice and have fed both of those with no loose stools. My dogs liked the beef and lamb but I had a few dogs that would puke on it, stools looked fine..I have no issues with the chicken and rice.

And when I want to give them a different flavor , instead of using the lamb or beef from diamond naturals..I just jump up to 4 health and I usually get salmon and potatoe..Little more expensive but not that much...So I feed a bag of Diamond chicken and rice and then a bag of 4 health salmon and potatoe.

I switched about a year ago from TOTW to Diamond Naturals Chicken & rice or the Beef and rice kibble and it's ok, I did also notice loose stools with the Lamb and rice. Dogs look good on it, not nearly as good as they did when I fed TOTW but when your yard expands TOTW can really kill your pocket. I was blowing through a bag of that every 3 or 4 days at 54$ a bag it was time for a change. I did feed 3 generations of dogs on TOTW though, from Pregnant bitches to geriatrics as a life cycle diet and it was by far the best food I have feed kibble wise and I've tried many. My dogs didn't do too well on the 4 heath. constant watery stools, fur looked dull, constant scratching and/or licking etc. I put them on Diamond Naturals and been on that ever since.

I just got back from Tractor Supply and I noticed Diamond Naturals now has a Naturals grain free..45 bucks for 28 lb bag,wow !This is the first time I noticed this feed .Shit is higher than 4 health grain free..I will say if it's better than just regular naturals I'm sure it's a great feed.

Diamond changed the formula a bit, but I think for the better. Its the best feed I have found for near the price. They also make many other brand name dog food at their facility. I use Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete. A buck a lb... not bad. Dogs never had loose stools on this

I will back this. If you have to feed kibble, the Orijen Regional Red is where its at.

I also feed diamond naturals chicken and rice. Average cost per day per dog is 80cents. Dogs do great on it. If I only fed bulldogs my cost would be less. They eat a quarter of a scoop less per day. That keeps them healthy but not fat or cut . Extreme athlete has a higher protein and fat content.

sams club has a TOTW knock off now for $35/30#. Its fish based. Tried a couple bags of it and it seems pretty good for the money.

I used Diamond Chicken and Rice for a year or more with good results. Only setback I noticed was in winter some of them wouldn't keep on the weight. I tried Sportmix, Fromm, and now on the Victor GF. I found a deal at the feed store so I switched feeds for the time being. As AGK mentioned when your yard expands, you must find ways to adapt. Once the Victor is done I'll be switching back to this, Classic Recipes for Dogs - Fromm Family Foods . Anyone ever try it out?

yall know diamond make totw...can't be too much different....I work in industrial, lots of food n bev etc. you would be amazed the shit that is made in the same factory but under different name and minor to no changes. I been feeding diamond naturals a long while now. I agree with whoever said in the winter can't keep the weight. But the feed is good for the money, can't beat it dollar per pound, God bless tractor supply because they keep the chicken and rice price at a working mans wage.

I have hauled ingredients to diamond plants in MO, SC and CA. I was impressed with the way they operated. The original owners were also dog men. Be it hounds but still dog men. I have seen them reject loads of ingredients because they found a handful of different product on top of a trailer. Every load is tested and inspected before unloading. The facility is spotless. As far as weight during winter I bump my rations during winter. Mine have always stayed pretty level on weight.

Not sure about that but I do know the founders are good people. From what I have talked with them. Just ol country boys that got tired of buying feed. They started out with hog feed to feed their hogs. Then decided why not make dog food so they don't have to buy it from someone else. The original plant is in Meta MO. It's a lil bitty whole in the road way off the beaten path. Population of maybe 500.

Funny you say that. They are in a little town down the road from me. I'm sure the population is over 500, but it is one of the smaller towns in the area. Keep close to their roots it seems.
