She looks good to me! I wouldn't doubt that she would be one of the best looking bitches at the show. Good luck.

I dont do much work with her. No more work than a normal puppy. Shes a very active young dog, so that helps.

Here is how she looked a 2-3 months ago.

Hmmm - what show? If it's ADBA, then she will be close to the bottom of the 12-18 month class. There may be bitches in the class closer to 18 months that may be more developed.
She is standing much better is the younger pics - you can see the nice bend in her hocks and she looks better with her head up. I like her tail set and nice pump handle.
One fault I can see is the depth of her chest - it's a touch shallow as it should line up with the point of her elbow.
Do you have any rear shots? How is her bite?

No rear shots, Its hard enough to get her to stay still to get what pics I do have. She has a normal bite according to my vet and myself.

Yeah it is difficult to for a 13mo to compete with the older dogs in the class but she's a nice looking dog. Hard to tell any flaws in her conf because the pics arent all that great :)

her chest maybe fine but the pics dont do her justice

No prob;) - no dog is perfect, not even mine.
My guess was Jeep. . .Nigerino/Jeep who could have known, lol.

I will be at a show Sat as well - which one are you going to?

  14. jeep she looks pretty good. i see why she's not overly conditioned at that young age, but you can bet some of the ones on the top end of that class will be, which may make it a little harder competition. good luck let us know how she does.

Thx for the kind comments. Im gonna take her and do the best we can. I havent shown very many dogs so Im in it for the experience.

I have seen some of the pups at the show looking like they are in top condition at a very young age. I wont work a young dog that hard until they get close to physical maturity. Why ruin the future for a few show ribbons?

The show is in Lowell, MI. Its an ADBA show and I think Hammonds is gonna be judging. It will be fun just to meet him and have him look over one of my dogs.

Ah ha! I will be there too - I'll look forward to seeing your girl in person!
Hammonds - well that will be an interesting experience.
Are you staying for the 2nd show? The judge is John Mayo(sp?). We have 2 boys in the 9-12 and one in the Champ class.
Agree with you on the working puppies bit - you know the judges aren't supposed to encourage it, but it seems they pick otherwise.

its funny u guys are talking about the working puppy's thing, at the pa show a few weekends ago there was some guy with a pup that was no more than 12 weeks old that was all types of cut. Now im not sure but i doubt that this was pure genetics because the pup just looked diesel as hell
