Anybody seen it?

I did provide a link to that trailer and website a few months back, and mentioned that I'd be interested in seeing it when I posted in an "Off the Chain" thread. I know a lot of people on this board don't like seeing the protection work, french ring, or the bullys, but it does peak my curiosity.

As for the video, most of the dogs looked like American Bullies, until they got to some working dogs, but they were a bit on the larger size as well.

 

i know this is a repost of that vid, but i happened to stumble upon it again, last night and thought the "over all" message about the breed was pretty decent. are all the dogs portrayed in it APBT's? probably not, imo, but i thought it was worth reseeing...

 

French ring is a dog sport usually left to Belgian Malinois, etc. and focuses on aspects similiar to schutzhund type work. I am by no means expert on ths competition, but I think most APBT owners that dislike it so because of the portion focused on protection and bite work. Other than that I agree with Suki, and I'd atleast like to see it to make a decision on my own of that videos positive/negative message. My problem is thatI am not willing to buy it so maybe I'll be able to rent it one day.

I bought the off the chain video.. i personally think it is a complete misrepresentation of true dogmen... there documented dog men had no real idea how to do anything... the whole scene on sharpining teeth is complete idiocracy... no true dog man would due that the dogs teeth would be ruint b4 it ever ch'ed... alot of the stuff i saw was ridiculous... its the people that they have documeted in this video that make knowledgable dogmen look bad... i wish it was never published.. it had some good points about them not being humon aggressive but overall didnt help a bit

Man, wth? dude had me dyin "ive worked out this technique w/ my dogs teeth..'' yup, how to mess up a mouth in 60seconds! Sad part is, some dumb ass is like "yeah, thats tight". funny how everyone else in the past 150 years could get their dog CH and GRCH status w/ 'dull' teeth, but his dog needs somethin extra...

 

I just got done watching that piece of shit. Very few valid points were made in the 50 minutes I just wasted and will never get back again. That just drives home the point that these dogs should NOT BE OWNED BY JQP!!!!! Thugs are a f**king cancer to this breed. Im going to stay politically correct to keep from offending folks but if these dogs had stayed in the country and never made it into the inner city we wouldn't have 1/2 the fucking heat we do now and you can take that shit straight to the bank. Anyone who disagrees is either in denial or just as ignorant as the motherf*ckers who made that backwards ass movie. God people piss me off. Go buy a Rottweiler!

 

Yeah, I'll agree with that because there's too many retards in the city who gets APBTs, mutts, etc. to show how tough they are, but I'm from the city.. and I'm glad I found this site.. otherwise, I would have never learned about game dogs.. I was enlightened when I came to this site.. and realized how much this breed is truly suffering.

 

Ayobreezie, If you just started learing about Game Dogs when you became a member here than I applaude you for opening your eyes to whats really going on and not running off like a cur.

 

Yeah it was a jacked up Documentary but to say that everyone is like that is believing propaganda media hype. IMO. Maybe I got my head stuck up my ass. But I know and have dealt with many dogmen (in the hood. inner city) that would never do some of the things that people are accusing them of. I know some folks that wash there buckets out every nite. You are talkin to someone who is 15years removed from the hood.

 

It's been about 2 years, and I'm still learning, researching, etc.. but one of these days, I'll own a game dog or 2.

I think the biggest problem with inner city dogs is there just not meant to be there.. they bring to much attention and when a man with game dogs in the city has dogs poppin at each other and shaking there chains it just brings more attention.. add a couple mills and some everyday meds and you got a headline for tonights news...
