Does anybody feed this brand to their dogs?

Used to. Too expensive for the quality. Canidae is better and cheaper. Worked better for me at least.

Did ur dog have very soft stool? I love it, but it seems to make my dogs have very soft stool, but other than that their coat is super shiny, they have great energy and the food is easy to find.

I used to feed it as well. Didn't feel I was getting a good deal for a food that needs powdered vitamins added. Now I'm also feeding Canidae. When I fed the SG, poops were fine, though.

When you feed canidae what vitamins do you use?

I really don't. I've used some of the Solid Gold vitamins, because I had a whole bunch left. But they really don't need vitamins on Canidae. Some oil seasonally for dry coats (like now, since they're getting all dried out from the heaters), but they don't really need anything else. If I give them "extras," its more as a treat than anything else.

Ooooo... Okay... hrmmm... I think I'll finish this food and then switch to Canidae... I would love to put them on Timberwolf, but an extra $10 a month is a lot. I can't afford that on a minimum wage job.

Diahrea, shedding, coat deterioration, and poor energy levels.

Have had better results feeding $10/50 lb. bag of "Farm N Fleet".

Don't touch the stuff with a 10' pole if you value you're dogs health, or your finances!

As said before-Canidae. Better food, better prices.

I havent been able to find Canidae at my feed store here. Do you think they have it at Petsmart? I hate to walk in the front door of that place but I'd like to find that kibble. I've heard alot of you talking about it so I think I'll try it out. My dogs have been on Neutro and/or Diamond (Green Bag) and are fine with it but if there is something better out there I'd like to give it a shot. Thanks! :)

I don't think Petsmart would cuz they dont carry it where I'm at. they only sell canidae at feed stores from what i have seen

Hey man, you live in Central Florida, right? I've got the place if you do, you can get it at wholesale price. I pay $32 per bag for Canidae, but they've got every food if you want something different. Orlando area.

Why would you want soft stool? I like foods with an ingredient like beet pulp that makes solid, firm stools, the kind you can whip across the yard with a rake into your fire barrel or spray them with a sprayer without breaking apart. Easier to clean up IMO.

Definately easier, but it is hard to find places around me that sell that type of food. I get solid gold cuz it is very accessible and makes my dog's look good, but I wanted to try Canidae for a while but the nearest place is like 8 miles away and in my truck 8 miles is like 1 and 1/2 gallons :).

Does anyone use or have any experience w/ Innova (just wondering)?

Canidae for me. Solid stools and a shiny coat.

There's a local pet store here that's barely 1/4 mile down the road from my house. They only carry SG, Canidae, Nature's Variety, and Merrick. Works well in my favor with the short walk and the price. :)

$32 a bag is retail where I'm at pipbull. Until a few months ago, it was cheaper than that. If I drive farther, it is cheaper as well.

Just recently, I've found it for $27 a bag. Speak to the store, see if they will give you a discount for ordering multiple bags. If I can get it for $27, that is still above wholesale, someone lied to ya ;)

I switched to Canidae a couple of months ago and I'm not pleased. Very soft stool, even runny at times. We'll probably be switching back to Authority. The ingredients aren't as good in quality but my mutt did good on it.

I wouldn't feed Solid Gold either and have fed Canidae in the past. Canidae worked pretty well for about a year and eventually the dogs started shedding like crazy, dry coats and soft and runny stools. Been feeding Natures Variety since and its working really good.

This is what I feed my year old dog. She did extremely well on the Barking at the Moon, but I switched her to the beef and Barley formula. We are going through our 3rd 40 lb bag now and she seems to do well on it.

It is hard for me to find foods for her b/c she is allerigic to chicken. She is also allergic to peanut butter and pop corn.
