Internet dogging is a waste of time!!!

As I recap the past 7 years of looking at dogs online and how many kennels and dogs there really are it blows my mind. The propaganda behind the APBT is at an all time high. I use to spend hours online looking at dogs, pedigrees and kennel sites just gloating over the well bred animals out there that people had. The last few years have really opened my eyes to the foolish things people get caught up in and that is thinking there is one dominate bloodline better than all the rest. The answer to that is No, No, No, No!

Anyone telling you that their dogs are the best in the world or the nation is a fool but man is possessed by the all mighty dollar and the house payment needs to be made each month. For every SOB that says that, there are thousands of others that can make a liar out of him in short order. My point to this is as follows, this internet CH, GRCH and such are bullshit hide behind pedigree dogs and owners. How do I know? I know because I get out from behind the pc and look for the real bulldog and its owner.

Here is how it works for kennels that don’t give a shit about anything but the almighty dollar. Said kennel pays big g’s for a so called stud from other well known kennel. Well known kennel just making up for buying a shithead dog sometime back and lost ass. Now said kennel has dog that is said to be a producer but in reality is not and now knows got ass burnt. Said kennel breed the living shit out of Shit Eater. Shit Eater’s little litter is grown and it’s time to put them out there for people to show. Charge arm and leg for Shit Eater’s and all are gone from yard except the two pretty ones Said kennel kept.

Now the New owners have dogs from Said Kennels and are sure to do good because Said Kennels said so. New owner out and about with new dog and finds out the dog from Said Kennel is a Shit Eater. New owner takes Shit Eater back and tells Said Kennels the dog does not hunt and wants arm and leg back. Said Kennels backing up trying to find ass and does not uphold honest Dog man ways. New owner is going to kick Said Kennels ass if not a change in attitude and make things right. So said Kennels kisses ass and takes dog back and life is good.

But wait! Said Kennels has to feed Shit Eater # 2 now and look out! Here come’s sucker # 2. Not having the balls to cull the dog, Said Kennels pawns the Shit Eater off on some poor fool looking for a game dog and we start all over again. Said Kennels did the same thing with females out of the litter except when they received females back because they would not hunt, they bred them and then sold to unsuspecting fools. That is surly Lol, Get my drift…

A lot with know respect for the true meaning of the sport or the dogs and are Rip-off kennels waiting for your money. The Propaganda on the internet isn’t always true Bulldogs and owners of the well respected side of things. The internet is a way to reach out and bring in new fanciers in and educated the public to a point but remember if you can’t touch it there’s a good possibility it’s not real. Some older Dog men are looking to the internet as a way to share information with the world and save a few people from making poor decisions.

Slick bro I agree with you on so many levels. This included. Heck the person I got my pup from doesnt even use the internet. Maybe once a week to check emails from his son. Let alone running his own website.

Theres a sucker born every minute and theres supply and demand in this breed.

Its sad but the internet allowed allot more fakes and pedigree whores to come into light..Reaping a quickbuck here and there.

Don't get me wrong, I love this site and the information I have gathered here is more than I could have hoped to attain BUT I have NEVER EVER recieved a dog via the web nor would I. Everything I hold in mind as truth are things I have SEEN with my own two eyes. I am far from a dogman but I will be one day. I can assure you my merit will not come from a website. My mentor has been doing this his whole life and I have been a sponge for the last several years. He is known by ALL real enthusiasts in our area which in turn got my foot in the door and I have been accepted and schooled by the best around. The internet is a cool novelty, thats about it. There is no telling how many UC we have among us. I dont practice any illegal activities so it doesnt worry me but one should be carefull. Internet dogging may be a waste of time but its also very incriminating. YIS, DJ.

 

This is a good place to hang out and find some good info no doubt! Some of the Web doggers need to be more pro-active in learning about said animals. Make trips to see yards and go to shows and meet folks. A lot of the problem is failure to educate yourself before trying things they hear or read. If I read something that I'm not sure about I ask questions to people I know and trust. Kinda like the way the media says that Dog fighters hang bags up with a small animal in it to get the taste for blood and prey drive. This is not a fact in the gamedog world infact, it's as far away from the truth as you can get with these dogs. There have been many game dogs share space with other animals and could run lose.

Hmm, internet dogging, What do you mean by that? Is it like internet dogman? These are those who pretend to be the epicenter of the dog circles in their areas. They brag and tell all of their successess and fabulous dogs.

In regards to some having better dogs than most.....well, heck yeah! Just like in baseball there are different league levels. When i heard someone saying something about their dog (in person) and how well they weightpull i do not automatically call them liars. Again, just like in baseball. A HS MVP might be great within that level but could not hold a water cup for anyone in the majors. There are things that show your level. That thing is level of competition. Who did you weightpull against? Who ref that show? You do not need to win to be considered someone, only loose while trying without a sign of hesitation. You need to show you are there for the right reasons, recognize when you see gameness in your loosing dog, and be man to pick your game dog before it is too late.

Yes, there are promotionally savvy kennels that spit their self-proclaimed greatness and sell to the masses. Those [kennels] are there for those inpatient greehorns that want to 'get at it' quick while circumventing a traditional process. These individuals do not have their ear to the floor. They do not know truth from fantasy. Greenhorns that would not know a game dog if it it bit them in the ass (no pun intended). In fact, most of these may say they want a game dog but choose by roughness alone. They have no clue what makes a true-to-standar APBT. They can only read what is said on the net and believe those words.

That said, let us not kid ourselves. If all dogs worked out, gameness would not be such a revered trait. Again, this is where your league level comes in. A dog that may be a cull in the upper tier, may be deemed a proverbial ACE in the minor leagues. So, if you buy from a breeder of minor league dogs, expect minor league pups.

I agree to a point... i agree that there is no dominant line.. i dont agree that point on studs though... there are the best producers and then theres the rest.... if not we wouldnt have greats like chinamen frisco jeep etc. but to believe your dog is undefeated is ridiculus... But in this game if you have the money and make the right purchases from the right people in all honesty as bad as i hate to say it u wouldnt even have to test one dog... cause if you buy from honest dog men and buy proven studs and game bitches and you breed them noone can ridicul u cause theres not anything else u can do... Most people on the net are pushovers who just buy whatever looks good on paper your right there... i agree with most of it but have personally seen rich bastards do what i described...

No man! but we have a lot of new people to the forum and we just need to educated and make them see it's not the back woods, hoods and gamblers world to promote this dog in a "I'm a bad ass because I have a Pit Bull" way. These kids see a very bad image from TV, the back yards and the Alley's in the hood that educate falsely to the way it should be. It's not the truth and I want to stand firm about how a man and a woman should act and look when having this breed.
