  1. Hey everyone,

This is my boy, Dylan. I have limited information on him cause I got him from animal control. He is around 2 years old and looks to be mixed with something...though I'm not sure what. I have no idea about his bloodlines or anything but know he comes off a yard in the NC mountains. Don't know if that tells y'all anything or not.

Anyway, let me know what you think of him.

Without papers there is really no way to tell what your dogs bloodlines are, or even if he is purebred. But judging from the pic he looks like a mix to me.

  4. I know that he is a pit mix. I mean look at those ears, and his tail isn't as "whip-like" as an APBT should be. Beyond that he has some mild feathering on his hindquarters. Otherwise, he seems to meet the pit bull standard pretty well. Weighs in at 57.8 pounds. Scissor bite. Etc.

I'm not really all that concerned with his bloodlines but would be interested in hearing about possibilities just for fun. I mean, all in all, he's a great dog. He has insane drive. And will work for me as long as I ask him too and longer -- I've had to force him off a task a couple of times.

I know that he is not a perfect APBT by any means. But, I think he's a great introduction to the breed. I'll never own another "soft" dog again.

i think you could be on to something....lol

as for NC mountains, there are tons of dogs in that state, very bulldog freindly, im pretty sure the local wal-marts have 2 in double ply collars, and walking harnesses.

Just because a dog has bat ears doesnt mean it's not full blooded. The fat tail does though. Good looking dog none the less. Welcome aboard and enjoy! :D
